The rental agent at the counter was amazing. I was in and out very quickly. When I returned my vehicle, I accidentally left my personal key attached to the actual Rental key fob. Didn’t realize this until I arrived back into my own town. After that the Customer Service part went downhill. You cannot call directly into the airport and even after repeated attempts to use customer service and emails no one ever returned my call and I lost a $200 electronic key to my vehicle.

First time renting a car … flew into Salt Lake City for a wedding, used the app to book a car. Could not have been easier! They let me go straight to pick a vehicle after my flight landed, could choose out of any of the truck category… in and out within 10 minutes, and return was same!! I heard multiple people at the wedding complain about their car rental experiences with other companies, and have to say I was extremely impressed with the quick flow and process both between choosing a vehicle and returning it. Everyone couldn’t have been nicer that worked there. I would give my experience 20 stars if I could, sale after hearing how hard other companies were to use! Thank you enterprise!!

I have been a member and user of Enterprise Rental cars for close to 20 years. This was my worst experience ever. I reserved a certain type of car at the Salt Lake City, Utah International Airport for pickup on Wednesday, 19 August 2026. The type car I reserved was not there(never was told why.) They substituted a crossover auto (whatever that means; the agent couldn’t tell me.) It was a Subaru Ascent. I was given a “key fob” of course. Here is the problem. I could almost never lick the car. (I may be old, but I have been driving many vehicles of different styles for many years. I know how to use a variety of key fobs. There was a “lock” symbol on the key fob. There was no unlock symbol, which fobs normally have. The lock symbol button would NOT lock the vehicle. EVER. The Rear Door button would not open the Power Rear Door. Sometimes I could lock the vehicle by pushing the “Lock” button on the bottom of the rear door itself. But, most times that did not work. I looked on line to try to find whatever Subaru might offer to lock. Not helpful in the least. That information was worthless. It was disturbing for three days and two nights to have to leave my vehicle unlocked at my hotel and other locations in Salt Lake City. I am not sure I will use Enterprise again. I certainly won’t rent a Subaru. Thank you for asking.

I would give zero stars if it were an option. You rented me a car on a 30 day rental that needed an oil change 300 miles into my trip, and had significant shake at speeds over 65mph. I had to make a stop in Boulder to trade out the car. I needed, and rented, a Ford Expedition size SUV with all wheel/4WD, and the largest car available in Boulder was a minivan with 2WD, and as it turned out intermittent windshield wipers that didn't work. I called and wrote to Enterprise and it took Enterprise 3 days to respond, which was only to tell me that they would get back to me. At that time I could have traded the car out, if they had offered to do it. By the time they did get back to me, I was at my final destination, which was nowhere near a location that had a large 4wd car available to trade out for. So the car sat at my location, since it was not suitable to use at the location. I was told that I would be charged the minivan pricing, yet my bill shows that I was charged the full rental price for the original SUV rental. So a pitiful experience and no resolution a the time I returned the car, even though one was promised. Poor customer service and a lack of timely responses is not the appropriate way to handle a customer's issue, caused by Enterprise.

Salt Lake City airport Enterprise was great. We were able to upgrade our vehicle class at the airport upon pickup with no trouble, at an additional charge, which was expected. Jackson Hole airport Enterprise was NOT great, they were barely mediocre. We had a mechanical problem with the vehicle obtained from Salt Lake and needed to transfer to another rental, which had been previously reserved by Salt Lake staff after we developed vehicle trouble. Salt Lake reserved a vehicle for us to pick up at Jackson Hole airport as that was the closest Enterprise location at the time of our mechanical trouble. When we got to Jackson Hole airport they said they DIDN"T have a vehicle for us. We waited 1.5 hours at Jackson Hole, airport, while continually asking for someone at Jackson Hole Enterprise to do something to get us a mechanically able vehicle. The Customer service rep at Jqckson Hole said that it was Salt Lake's problem, not Jackson Hole's, and he was not real happy about helping us. We finally got a vehicle which was a lower class vehicle than the one that had been reserved for us at Jackson Hole, then we continued on our trip, as we were already late. After the rental completion, 100% THANK YOU to Salt Lake City Enterprise manager Zahra Nasir, who worked with me to give me credit for the lower vehicle class we were given at Jackson Hole, repair shop charges to us during the vehicle breakdown, and overall inconvenience that was created during this unfortunate mechanical issue. I have been an Enterprise member since 2012. Thanks to Zahra at Salt Lake, she made it all good. I CANNOT say the same for the Jackson Hole Enterprise reps we dealt with on that day. We also had to rent from Jackson Hole Enterprise in March of 2026 and had to return our vehicle to them as it had low oil in the engine. Don't know what's going on in Jackson Hole???? Bill Wiley
