We were in a jam with trying to get some rusty bolts off to remove our license plates for my college kid’s car we had just registered had no tools and were struggling! Nick saved the day and took the time to help us get the bolts off and recommend a better choice for screws for when the new plates come in. Very rare these days to have someone provide such great service and really care!! Highly recommend this store.

Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
