⭐ 1 STAR — Extremely Disappointing Experience at Les Schwab in Lindon
If I could give zero stars, I would. My family and I have been loyal Les Schwab customers for YEARS, consistently bringing our business to the Saratoga Springs location. This was my first time at the Lindon location, and after this experience, I seriously question whether I want to continue supporting this company.
I had my car towed in for ONE flat tire and was quoted approximately $1,000 for four new tires and an alignment. When I explained that this was a significant unexpected expense and I needed time to consider my financial options, the receptionist was rude and dismissive.
I explicitly told them NOT to work on my car until I called the following morning and authorized it. I left around 6:01 p.m. Tuesday and personally saw that all four tires had air in them. I have pictures. The next morning, I called Kevin and repeated that I had NOT authorized any work and that they needed to wait.
When I returned, I discovered all four tires had been deflated and the valve stems removed. Nobody informed me of this over the phone. Instead, when they pulled my car out, Kevin told me it wasn’t drivable and claimed I had authorized the work. I absolutely did not. When I questioned him, he said they had “prepped” my car the night before. WHY would you do that when I explicitly told you to wait for my authorization?
Kevin’s attitude was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Rather than addressing my concerns respectfully, he made an already stressful situation worse. His treatment of us was so upsetting that my mom actually cried. Customers deserve respect, clear communication, and compassion—not attitude for asking questions about their own vehicles.
I cannot say why the tires were deflated or the valve stems removed, but the timing is extremely concerning and deserves an explanation from management. I have photographs and call records documenting important parts of this experience.
Thankfully, Discount Tire right across the way stepped in to help. Their employee Kyle brought a portable air compressor, realized the valve stems were missing, went back to get replacements, and helped us get the car over to their shop. Their team treated us with kindness, compassion, and respect, and gave us a significantly more affordable quote.
I’ve supported Les Schwab for years, and this is how my family and I were treated at the Lindon location. Management needs to investigate what happened, including the work performed and the authorization timeline. I will be taking my business elsewhere. Loyalty should mean something, and this experience was absolutely unacceptable.
