I brought my car to this Jiffy Lube for a routine emissions test and an oil change. The vehicle had absolutely no issues beforehand—no warning lights or check engine lights. Less than two miles after leaving their shop, the car broke down on the side of the road with a massive puddle of coolant and oil underneath.I had to pay to have it towed back to Jiffy Lube. Upon arrival, the manager brushed the entire situation off as "unlucky." They claimed my thermostat magically failed in those exact two miles, causing catastrophic engine failure. Their only solution was to charge me $800 to fix the damage. I went in for basic auto maintenance and left with a completely ruined engine. Unacceptable customer service and mechanical negligence.

I had posted previously, and had removed my review because the issue had been resolved with the owner. But after several further issues at another Jiffy Lube owned by the same corporation (apparently Jiffy Lube is a franchise company) I feel it is necessary to restore my review. Several months ago I came into have my brakes inspected as they were making a squeaking noise. I was informed that a rock has become wedged in between the pads and the rotors, requiring the full brakes to be replaced. I moved forward with the replacement, and after about two hours, they said that the work was done and I could go. However, before leaving the lot, my brakes were not activating. I immediately turned around and told them that my brakes were not working. They attempted to fix them again, and after another two hours, I was asked to try it again. The brakes still were not working and I had no pressure. This time the manager came with me to test it out, and she said the brakes were working fine, but she had to press the pedal almost all the way to the floor for them to engage. I should mention that I was treated like I was being a Karen, and that I had no idea what I was talking about. All of the staff spoke very condescendingly to me and acted as if nothing was wrong, when obviously it was a hazard. After further work of another two hours, I was told to try it again, and that my rear drum breaks may take a while to fully engage. Taking them at their word I said I would test it over the weekend and return if there were still issues, as they had closed for the day. The issue persisted and the following Monday I brought the car in for further adjustment. After another 2 to 3 hours, I went on a test ride with one of the employees with me driving, and while at first, it seemed the brakes worked, later on in the drive they began to become loose again. I ended up gaslighting myself by believing what the staff told me, but more than anything I just wanted to be done. I took the car home, and has someone from my household test it and she said that it was very insecure and not how the brakes should be adjusted. I finally ended up taking the car to a different mechanic who said that the rear drum brakes were not installed correctly and so I had to get them fixed with him. When I called Jiffy Lube to inform them of this and request to speak with their owner, and frankly I bluntly said that it was not right that they sent me off in such hazardous conditions, the manager replied “you should’ve brought it back to us for us to fix”. When I told her that I had given them a lot of my time with no results, and rhetorically asked what she would’ve done in my place, she replied “I would’ve gone to the place where they would do it for free”. Several days later, I was contacted by the owner who I have to give credit was very reasonable and refunded me for the rear brakes and reimburse me for what I spent at the other mechanic. For this I would like to give a higher review but for the above and below I can’t in good conscience give higher than a 1 star. Every time I’ve returned to a Jiffy Lube in Northern Utah County, sometime soon after the current visit I have car issues or there is something broken on the next inspection. The cherry on top is they always leave my car filthy. My carpets are always covered in grime, and most recently from another location. My bumper was marked, and I have yet to fully be able to clean it. Like I said, I do not know if it is out of incompetence or maliciousness, but there are always problems after I go to Jiffy Lube, so until management can better vet their technicians and ensure the job gets done well I will not be returning.

Do not go to the shop if you have tire needs! I took in a car for a simple nail in the tire and after an hour and a half of waiting and multiple people coming and going after my arrival they finally pulled my car in, once I complained. Then the incompetence of this crew really shined through when they said they couldn’t get the tire off because “they broke their tire taking off tool”. They then recommended I go to a big-o tire just down the road and see if they could fix it for me. Needless to say, I’ll never go there again and I would highly recommend no one else does either. Take your car to Big-O down the road as they suggested. They were unapologetic and slow to respond. Absolutely horrible experience!

Went in for an oil change, which was quick but a little pricey. During their process they removed my cabin air filter, showed it to me, then put it back incorrectly, leaving part of the cover out entirely. It wasn’t a huge inconvenience to flip the filter around the right way and reinstall the cover, but it just seemed pretty lazy for the price I paid.
