  We got a wild quote back saying everything that could leak oil WAS leaking oil. So we took the quote to two other places, and it came back that something completely different not even discovered after the steam test was the real issue. We fixed it for a fraction of the price, since Clegg's wanted to replace 4 different parts. It was just weird that we paid $300 for a steam test that didn't even find the right issue... Super disappointing, since we have taken our car here for many years.

  UPDATE! Summary: We originally brought our car into Clegg Auto because we were dealing with an engine light and stubborn EVAP system codes. After the first repair, the same codes came back, which was obviously frustrating. But instead of brushing us off, Manager Brian waived the first hour of re-diagnostic time so they could keep digging into the issue and make things right. Update: I went back to Clegg Auto, and Ben from the team, after doing more searching, found out it was a purge valve issue. They also discovered that the new gas cap I had bought online was not actually OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer, meaning the exact part made by the car’s manufacturer or approved supplier), so they got me a genuine one directly from the manufacturer. The repairs were very prompt. When I went back to pick up the car, the kind gentleman helping me explained that EVAP systems are intentionally designed to be difficult to tamper with because of emissions regulations. But because of that, diagnosing them can become a long and complicated chain of elimination, especially when multiple components can trigger similar codes. They were very communicative and prompt throughout the process, and I really appreciated that they stayed committed to figuring it out instead of taking shortcuts or brushing us off. At the end of the day, huge congratulations to Clegg Auto. They were thorough, transparent, and stuck with the problem until they found the issue. I’ll absolutely be bringing my cars back to them in the future.

  Update: Glen called and reassured me he would teach his staff about these issues so they don't happen again. He also made it up to me by reimbursing some charges. The communication and customer service were really good here, but we felt like they were pushing for all kinds of repairs we weren't sure were necessary and always ignoring one repair we had actually requested.

  Clegg auto is amazing! I 100% recommend to those who are having car troubles. They helped me with the most inexpensive fix and even found better ways to get me a juristically lower price. They also helped me with giving a car to still get around while my car was in the shop. Customer service is top tier and quality work. I will be sending everyone I know to Clegg auto
