Simple & quick reservation process online, tech informed me when 15 minutes away… i wasn’t available at home, but he still took care of repairing the 2 cracks on windshield, then sent receipt via txt… very efficient/effective process 👍🏽

The one start is for the interaction with the lady at the desk when we picked up our car she was awesome. If I could give her 5 i would. My review will is on the service & the owner. This is a long post, you'll wanna read to the end. I'll start with dropping the vehicle off. We showed up for our Tuesday 7am appointment only to be told then the windshield came in scratch and a new one was ordered. No phone call, no text message, no communication of that info. The only good thing from this was that the glass would be there but our car wouldn't be ready until 3 - 330 instead of the 11 - 12. Then when it was time to pre-authorize my card they were going to charge me $1497 instead of the $947. I asked "Why so much"? "She stated it was for the other windshield but it would go back to the original price once my card was charged after the service". Wait what? I didn't scratch the new glass. She could see I wasnt happy and was able to pre-authorized my card for original amount. When I hadn't heard from anyone I called about 415 to check on my vehicle. "Oh its not ready". Well no kidding we're still waiting. Once again no phone call, no text message, no communication. We finally get a call around 445 - 5 our car is ready. "We close at 5 but I'll wait. How far are you"? First thing i notice the price was different. Only then we I told the quote would change throughout the process. Wait what? Change? This is a nation wide company, not some mom & pop shop.TAKE NOTE OF THE PREVIOUS SENTENCE. I used those words cause of the owner. I'll get into that later. Back to the price change. I was told the price was different because they couldn't do the RECOMMEND wiper replacement. ONCE AGAIN no phone call, no text message, no communication. As we are at the counter getting ready to pay I get a notification from my Nissan App saying my air bags are faulty. We bring this up to the lady at the desk. She says let me get the technician. We show the technician and he says its wrong. He goes and gets the owner. We show the owner. Now the fun part. The owner says "Your windshield has nation wide lifetime warranty". I tell him "Well its not our windshield its our air bags". The owner says "Well we stand by our work". I tell him "Well this didn't say this until yall worked on our vehicle". Then he proceeded to tell me "We are a nation wide company, not some mom & pop shop. We stand by our work. That should go away". "OK fine we will see if it does. We pay, we leave the shop. No more than 10 minutes down the road we hear a rattle coming from the passenger side corner area of the windshield. My wife is scheduled to bring it back for an inspection in a few days. I will do another review then. Just an FYI the lady (DEE) working Saturday was RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL when I talked to her on the phone. Maybe she didn't like working on Saturday.

They did a great job. The only thing is the glass looks lighter which I was informed if I would’ve requested oem I would’ve gotten the correct one after the fact i wish they would’ve told me that option before. I would’ve gladly paid the difference for it but they told me I would now have to order a whole new glass in order to do so. Wish they had better communicated that before hand! It’s costing me just about the same as if I had gone to the dealership now since I have to go get tint

I booked an appointment for three chips. When I arrived, the technician told me two had already been repaired and that the new chip I was concerned about was superficial. He then pointed to one of the previous repairs and said it looked concerning. I wasn’t familiar with the process of repairing an already repaired chip, so I trusted his professional judgment. After he worked on it, that crack was much larger than when I arrived. When I asked why, I was told it was “physics and pressure” and that there are no guarantees. I understand there is always some risk with glass repairs, but I left confused about why a previously repaired chip that wasn’t spreading needed to be reworked in the first place. After the appointment, I called the dealership where I purchased the vehicle and where the chips had originally been repaired before I bought it. They told me there is one standard process for filling a chip, which left me even more confused about why I was told the previous repair had been done “incorrectly.” I asked Safelite what specifically was wrong with the previous repair and what made it incorrect, but I never received a clear answer. Instead, I felt like my concerns were dismissed. If a previously repaired chip needed to be reopened and that process carried a significant risk of making the crack much larger, I believe that should have been explained clearly before the work was performed. I left with a windshield in worse condition than when I arrived and without a clear explanation of why that outcome was necessary.
