  I felt like I was on an episode of punked… my husband described the car as a cheap hotel in Vegas. My car check engine light came on of course on a Friday, so they estimated looking into it by Tuesday. I rented a car last minute from the app, selected just pick an economic car to pick up in the next hr. They were very busy and I had low expectations for my rental, I basically just needed a nice clean reliable car to get me too and from work. I didn’t expect something compared to my Chevy traverse that I was taking to the dealership. They call my name, I see the car, it’s a tiny Mitsubishi car, I’m like, ok I’ll make this work, I don’t need anything fancy. It has a huge dent on the side, he told me it was ok if there were dents up to the size of a baseball. I was like, uhhh ok, never been told this before about a rental car. He tells me to check out the inside. As soon as I stick my head in, there are signs everywhere saying no smoking, but the car smelled like it was smoked in for years. The passenger seat was sat all the way forward, I thought it was weird, but thought nothing of it. I look in the back and see holes, which he mentioned were documented, again thought this is weird never had a rental with holes. He was like, what do you think. I was like, uhhh did someone smoke in here, which caught him off guard, he was like what, does it smell like it? I was like, yeahhhhh. He peaks his head in and smells it. He’s like I’m gonna make it right. Sends me back inside, I’m thinking ok, I’ll get something better. Nope, he just put an air fresher in the vent. Im just like, whatever, I only need it for a week just to commute. So I’m driving around in this beat up rental with a over powering fragrance that is just masking smoke. It smelled awful. When I sat back the passenger seat there was also a large hole, which is why they had it sat all the way forward. I pick my husband and daughter up at the dealership to go home. This is when I notice my child is sitting in a booster seat next to these white stains. At this point I’m getting upset, this car is disgusting. It looked like this car was bought at an auction for dirt cheap. I think I paid more to rent this car then they did to buy it. It looked like they ran a side hustle in that back seat where my daughter is currently sitting. When I go to turn into my neighborhood, the brakes began to grind and the crash collision light came on. At this point I’m livid! I decided I was taking this hunk of junk back and requesting something else or my money back. I get there it’s still busy, when it’s my turn I request a different car. They told me I could wait an hr or come back at 5 when they had more returns. I asked at this time if they would for sure have a car, that is reliable, and clean? They said yes, and told me I wouldn’t have to wait to long. She attempted to give me the key back to that car, in which, I refused saying I did not feel safe in that car and I’d just have my husband pick me up. I go back at 5 and I wait maybe 5 mins, they did make it right which is why I gave more than 1 star, but it ruined my only day off that week. Honestly I questioned if they just rented out someone’s used car, it was the worst experience I have ever had with renting a car. I posted pictures of the holes and stains. This really felt like a joke. I do not know if I will ever go through enterprise again, I thought they were a reputable rental company.

  The Enterprise team is Waxahachie, TX is the standard of what customer interaction and service is suppose to look like. They welcomed when I entered the building each time I entered, my vehicle was ready, cleaned and the return process was seamless. I will definitely use this location again.
