  This is a review of the Tyler Airport location, not of National itself (which I always enjoy renting with). I’ve never had such a bad customer service experience. I reserved a pick up time for 5:00 PM on Sunday 3/22/26, and showed up at 4:45PM so I could grab my rental and get to an important engagement. It wasn’t until 5:45PM that someone finally showed up to give me the keys, which obviously made me late; and the worker never explained or offered anything close to an apology. I returned the car on Tuesday 3/24/26, no one was at the desk again, so I dropped it in their lock box and left, assuming I’d get my email receipt as usual. Fast forward to Friday and I’d not seen it at all, so I tried calling the corporate line 3 separate times; they said they were sending messages to the manager to get me my receipt, but nothing happened after each time. On Saturday the 28th, I decided to show up since they don’t care about corporate messages and it had been almost 5 days since I returned the car. Again, no one was manning the desk. The Enterprise worker finally was able to help me. She let me know that the worker that had handed me the keys on Sunday had never actually assigned the car to my rental agreement, and she couldn’t close out the original rental. 30 minutes of paperwork later and she was finally able to get me my receipt that I needed for my job, and still no one ever made an appearance at the national desk (1 hr after their posted opening time). I’ll never rent from this National location ever again, hope this serves as a “buyer beware” for the next person thinking of renting from them.

  The National car rental team at the Tyler airport are amazing. Thank you Matt for you and your team's excellent service. Thank you to Mary who made my car so clean for my business trip. Professional and friendly, and fast customer care is why i recommend National to everyone, and why I will continue to be a loyal and frequent customer!!

  The staff here is super helpful and always so nice! I rent from there at least a couple times per month for work and they really go above and beyond every time.

  Made a reservation on phone at Tyler Airport location and went to pick up the car only to find that there was no car. Receptionist referred to Hertz Car Rental which offered car at a lot higher rate than originally reserved at National. Left the airport and called reservation number to be told that car was still available. Really disappointed at National not taking the customer order seriously and lying about car's availability at pick-up location. Won't use their services again.

  Kat and Joshua are the best car rental professionals on earth. They consistently go above and beyond to make my rental experience exceptional. On average I rent cars overs 100 days per year. I wish all my rentals went as the do in Tyler. Cheers to Kat and Joshua!
