August 1st 2026 : Chuy is very helpful & he addressed my concern with complete attention & seriousness. Here is what had transpired : On the last oil change in June 2026. I had heard the staff attending me, giving a shout out for the specific oil grade & his team member replying "we are out of that", without seeking my consent, or informing me, they still filled in oil, replaced filter (hopefully). I had the wiper blades and air filters replaced and I left, trusting, as I have been using their service for over a year. In the next few days ,I noticed smell of oil, and it was not the usual one. In a couple of weeks the smell got intense and light steam would appear from the engine area. Initially, I thought it might be the coolant , or radiator - I checked it , it was alright, no high temperature indication on the thermometer inside, so it was not waterbody steam. 4th week (my average miles per day are 50 only) , the engine sound changed & then I noticed on the ground in the parking lot outside my workplace, right underneath the engine, had a spot, not the a/c , I put my hand on it, it was oil. I moved the car to a different spot & weighted to make sure , it was not from another vehicle before I had parked mine. Within few minutes, a few drops were on the ground , beneath the oil filter. I checked the oil level, the dip stick showed there was no oil left to the 'low' level , only below it , the end point had some oil. I drove to the nearest shop & bought the right engine oil as specified, and poured it in to rescue the engine from ceasing/dying. I reached home. I suspected that the filter might be loose, after 2 hpurs or so, when the engine had cooled off, I reached under the engine, and yes, the filter was loose! And that is how the engine oil was lost gradually within a few weeks. I tightened the filter with hand - not too tight, as we learn. On Saturday, August 1st, I went to this place and told Mr.Chuy, that I could understand it would be completely unintentional by whoever was underneath my car , responsible for replacing oil filter on that service day, I nearly had my vehicle engine ceased. They need to be careful. Chuy verified my visit in June, pulled up the invoice from the system. He then asked me to pull the car in on bay #1 , then he went underneath, inspected the fitness of the filter, cleaned the shield of oil and came back up assuring the filter was tightened rightly by myself.
