I picked up a car from this place earlier today. Within hours of leaving town, the check engine and oil light turned on. I was informed the car was good to go.

I had booked an appointment and the website stated that they had a corolla 2026 available, when I arrived they told me the only available car is a minivan and it costs x2.5 more than the Elantra. They didn’t even seemed bothered and it looked like a normal thing to them.

The pick up process (wait time) in Houston was very long and daunting, however the return process significantly made up for my dissatisfaction! Waited 1hr to pick up. Then when I picked it up I immediately noted the car had a very strong stench (probably from someone who smoked in it). I called it to the staff's attention right away (I had a 5hr drive with my kids and wasn't going to have them breathe the stench the entire road trip). The gentleman stated he would "spray it" whic he did, and it made the odor much tolerable (though not eliminated). As I drove off the lot, I noticed the gas level was way less than the ½ tank that was indicated on my rental agreement form as the gas level. I had just waited 1hr (pls another 15mins to spray the car) so I wasn't about to go back in there to alert them again. At that point I was just willing to cut my losses and move so we can complete our road trip in daylight. When I returned the vehicle, I shared my experience and car notations with the lady who was processing my return. She was VERY kind, courteous, and understanding. She asked me "what can I do to make it right for you?" I calmly stated "nothing". She paused, and then responded "I'll process it and take care of if for you". When in finally understood what she meant, I was in shocka I was not asking for a waiver but she totally understood the fundamentals of customer service! Her name is Emily (at the Mansfield Texas location). Please heavily recognize her. Ms Emily is the epitome of customer service and customer satisfaction. She finds ways to ensure her customers are satisfied with their experience. I waited in the lobby for my pickup ride and observed how she treated the customers she was serving at the counter, and also how she was so courteous, calm, and respectful in answering the phone and conversing with customers over the phone. My observations of Ms. Emily in action (unbeknownst to her I was keenly observing her and taking mental notes) are testimonies that her customer service skills and attributes are simply innate with her. You have you the Ms. Emily's in your Enterprise locations and you will be guaranteed highly satisfied customers!!! I would have definitely tipped her but then I thought that would be against your company policy! Because of this my car return experience, I (literally) just told my sister to choose Enterprise to rent a car for her upcoming trip!

Worst rental car experience I have ever had. I was supposed to pick up my rental at the Sugar Land Airport location. I waited for over an hour, and they never opened. I then contacted the company, and the phone representative sent me to the Sugar Land location, telling me they had a vehicle there for me and that she booked it. When I arrived at the Sugar Land location, I was told the vehicle was reserved for someone else and that I could not have it. So despite having a confirmed reservation and being told by the phone representative that a vehicle was available for me, I was left without the car I reserved. At that point, I had no choice but to settle for a minivan just so I could make it to a wedding in San Antonio. Because of this entire mess, I arrived late to the wedding. What made the situation even worse was that I was given the runaround about being compensated for all the inconvenience. I was told they would take care of it, so I trusted that. Two weeks later, instead of receiving the promised compensation, I was charged the full rental price. I called the Sugar Land office to address the situation, and the representative simply kept me on hold. This was completely unacceptable from start to finish. I made a reservation, showed up as instructed, was sent from one location to another, was denied the vehicle I was promised, had to take a vehicle I didn't reserve, arrived late to an important event, and then was charged full price after being told I would be compensated. I have rented cars many times, and this is by far the worst rental car experience I have ever had. The lack of communication, organization, and customer service was extremely disappointing.

Reserved a minivan twice, failed twice—unacceptable stress before a road trip. I am extremely disappointed with Enterprise. For the second time, I reserved a minivan well in advance through their website specifically for a family road trip (5 people plus luggage). When I arrived at the Sugar Land location—a branch that previously assured me they would have one if booked directly—they had zero minivans available. To make matters worse, they claimed to "upgrade" us to a small SUV, which was not only too small for our group, but smelled overpowering of body odor. Being forced to start a trip cramped and in a foul-smelling car caused immense unnecessary stress. On my way home, I took a gamble and stopped at a different Enterprise location. Thankfully, the staff there was empathetic, saw a Kia Carnival on their lot, and allowed me to swap into it. While I am grateful to that specific branch for saving our trip, the systemic issue of reserving vehicles Enterprise doesn't actually have in stock—and handing over dirty cars—means I won't be using Enterprise again. Too much hassle and reliability issues.
