You reached out to us about buying our pick up based on our Kelly Blue Book sale analysis. Your motto, "commitment to excellence" failed. You spoke with us a few times. Agreed you could get very close to our asking price. We put lots of miles on our truck and the follow car bringing it in then more miles driven home after you missed the mark. Our truck has many extras not listed in KBB and is in excellent condition which you saw. A courtesy conversation stating you couldn't get to our number regardless of condition when we agreed on a date and time to bring it in would have been appropriate.

My wife and I recently purchased a new 2026 Ram 1500 from this dealership as our first major purchase together. Initially, the experience was positive. The sales process was quick, and everything seemed to go smoothly.
However, after we got home and reviewed the paperwork more closely, we discovered that an additional $3,750 in charges had been added to the purchase price, I called them back and stated this was an extended warranty which we clearly told them we did not want in the beginning. This came as a complete surprise, and we were very disappointed that these charges were not clearly explained or reviewed in detail during the finance process.
This is not my first Ram purchase—it’s actually my second—and because of that, I expected a higher level of transparency and customer service. I feel that the finance department did not properly go over the itemized breakdown of the purchase, which left us feeling misled about the final cost.
While the vehicle itself is great, the lack of transparency during the closing process has left a negative impression. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not believe I will be returning to this dealership for my next Ram purchase.

Buyer beware!! I buy trucks frequently for my business and this dealership is the worst!! The salespeople were sleazy- but the service department is pure scum! I had 2 truck batteries replaced at the dealership (almost $1,000 which is wildly overpriced). They BOTH broke in a year but this dealership refused to honor the warranty. They told me I could bring the batteries in and get them replaced, but when I got there they said they needed the actual vehicle. They seemed surprised when I told them that trucks don't drive without batteries. They refused to cover the tow and refused to trade out my batteries. I went to a parts store and bought 2 new batteries (only about $450) and am having them installed by actual professionals. The person at the parts store said there was no reason for them to require the truck to be present. I would never buy another vehicle from this place!!

Bad experience with my first visit to the San Marcos Jeep Servce Dept. at first I was upset with the service advisor, but after thinking about it, it’s the dealership ownership as well as Service Management that controls the price of service. My 2023 Jeep Gladiator had a bad rattle in the suspension, I asked the Service Advisor Ely to check it and let me know if it was covered under warranty before working on my Jeep. When my Jeep was ready for pickup, Ely charged me $260 dollars for diagnostics charge which that did not do! They tighten the suspension only! The issue I had was repairing my Jeep with out my consent ! And did not notify me the warranty did not cover the issue I had. Im so tired of car companies weaseling out of warranty issues and charging the customer!!
I had an absolutely fantastic experience purchasing my Jeep Compass at San Marcos Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.
