I came back to Tommy's Car Wash today, and I was genuinely impressed by how much they've improved. They clearly listened to customer feedback. The drying system works much better now, there were plenty of drying towels available, and my car came out looking spotless. The tires also had a much better finish than before. I honestly think Tommy's Car Wash is now a strong competitor and one of the top car washes in San Antonio. If you go, I highly recommend their Top Package—it's definitely worth it and you won't be disappointed. The facility is still impeccably clean, the staff is friendly and professional, everything is well organized, and they even have a dedicated mat cleaning station, free vacuum stations, and a vending machine with products for cleaning and drying at a good price. It's great to see a business that really listens to its customers and keeps improving. For that reason, I'm updating my rating from4 to 5 stars. Congratulations to the whole team and keep up the great work!
So thankful to God! We had a subscription with Tommy's Express prior to finding our subscription with Club Car Wash. I thank God for our bad experience with Tommy's, He was protecting us and redirecting our steps! We ran our new White Tahoe through at this location and one of their washing strips fell off, got entangled in our right side mirror hub and caused a black mark on the mirror hub, where the broken strip was entangled.
We contacted "management"-Sebastian, who didn't even look at our car or meet with us, and just sent us the perfunctory email stating they're not going to take responsibility, all the way to the top. The "upper management handler" from Oklahoma, acknowledged that he could see their washing strip fell off, no black marks at entry camera and black marks at exit camera, yet somehow he concluded black mark was there prior? What?! Apparently "management" and upper "management" at Tommy's lacks logical, deductive reasoning skills and honesty. Tommys "management" and "upper management" are gaslighters with no integrity, and I'm thankful for the insight, with no damage to our car, just a black mark that was able to be rubbed off, thank God! Our current experience with Club Car Wash subscription: 1)You can count on Club's stated hours, Tommy's would randomly close 30 minutes prior to their posted hours and would make excuses for it, we haven't experienced this with Club 2) Club makes towels available if you want them to wipe down your car in more detail, they don't charge you for them, Tommy's does 3) Your car comes out cleaner at Club, our Tahoe at Tommy's would always have water beads on the windshield, they don't position their dryers correctly. 4) You get more value for your subscription at Club, they'll spray your mats upon request and they spray your entire car down before entering, better wash results 5) Some Club locations clearly changes and washes their washing strips regularly, which is important, because if left unattended the grime, oil, etc from the cars that went through prior to yours will be smeared all over your car. Also, regular maintainance ensures that if there is anything that would scratch your car that is stuck in the washing strips, it is found and removed so as not to damage all the cars running through. You can tell if they washed and inspected their washing strips by how good or bad the smell is coming through your vents while your car is running through, and of course no scratches at exit. Tommy's apparently doesn't maintain their washing strips, frequent moldy smell during the wash.
Clearly God was redirecting our steps to another car wash company and showing us that Tommy's doesn't take responsibility for their equipment failure or any damage to your car. Again, thank God for the insight and for no damage to our brand new car, just a black mark that was easily rubbed out.
I'm so thankful to God that we are no longer contributing any subscription money to aid their dishonest business practices! If you have a subscription at Tommy's, your car suffers damage, and "management" gaslights you and won't take responsibility, you have been properly warned here. Thank you God! Update-it's come to my attention a Club location also doesn't take responsibility for damages, so I can't highly recommend them either. Fortunately we've only experienced great results so far from Club Car Wash. Perhaps our steps are being ordered again to look elsewhere again. It comes down to the people who own and run certain locations. If they don't care about providing you great service and taking responsibility, and you're just a dollar sign to them, then all the horror stories will continue, no matter what the brand name, sad. As I sit here asking God where should we go to get our car washed now, I believe He's saying saving a soul from going to hell is far more important than my stupid car wash dilemma! So spoiled! Forgive me Lord! He'll continue to protect us while we continue to make Him the priority in our lives! Again, so thankful that we're not funding Tommy's dishonesty!
