I used them just a few days ago but will do business with them again if sixt keep Noah, Kendra and Shanika. They are very respectful and efficient. Not giving you any rolling eyes, attitude like some would. And best, they were problems solver and have good communication between the dispatcher and the front desks. I was informed the Camry was late and not showed up yet by the dispatcher and the front desk was able to switch to and politely provide not just one but several options. I am a mechanic so I like Toyota reliability and efficiency. Your staff are knowledgible and adaptable. Knowing I prefer Toyota they found their only Toyota but a big truck.
Since gas efficiency and reliability are both important, they kept looking and find me a Ford escape. I am iffy about that. But since that one is an gas fuel efficiency model I give it a try. Actually the car is well revised, roomy, have sensors for blindspots when changing lanes, ease the engines when at stop signs. CO2 warning when extended running ac at park. I don't like too much touch screens contro. This one still has knobs for AC and radio controls. Give Ford a go on this model Escape.

Warning for International Renters Contract Breach & Refund Refusal!!
I pre-paid $1543.00 for a rental (Confirmation #9725949891) via Expedia. Upon arrival at the San Antonio Airport branch, the agent refused to issue the car despite me providing:
A valid Australian Driver's License (Roman script/English).
A valid US Passport (Government-issued ID).
The Overcharge:
The agent refused the rental but SIXT and Expedia have unlawfully retained the full $1,543.00. Per the written contract in my confirmation email, the maximum penalty for a late cancellation or no-show is clearly capped at $58.72 (or the amount paid, whichever is lesser).
The Experience:
I have attempted to resolve this through SIXT customer service, Expedia, and the Texas Attorney General. All parties have ignored the clear written terms of the booking. SIXT is currently withholding over $1,400 of my money in direct violation of their own printed cancellation policy.
Advice: If you are an international traveler or booking through a third party, be extremely cautious. This branch failed to honor their own documentation requirements and is refusing to honor the refund caps stated in their contracts.

I was slated to rent a Toyota Tacoma, but I wasn’t crazy about potentially driving a truck. When I checked in, I was offered a Volvo XC60 in lieu of the truck. I’ve never driven a Volvo (I’ve been a loyal Toyota customer for over 20 years) but I wanted an SUV over a pickup. I had such a great experience driving the Volvo that I actually purchased one during my trip. The SIXT rental really influenced my decision as I was able to test drive the model of car for over 400 miles. This was my first time using SIXT and it was by far the best rental car experience I’ve had to date. It was easy to check in digitally and I was able to get my car in under 10 minutes. The customer service was great (thanks again for the complimentary upgrade) and I will definitely be a repeat customer. I’m a Hertz gold plus member and I chose to go with SIXT because the rates and quality of cars were so much better. Thank you, SIXT San Antonio for this great experience!

Pretty awful customer service. I was prompted with an email to check in virtually to speed up the key retrieval process. It was finished on end but a technical difficulty did not translate to their end so I had to check in twice. No big deal. They overbooked themselves so we got a free upgrade. Love it. We left behind a piece of luggage at key retrieval. (Was not left in the rental car, but the key retrieval kiosk). We spent countless hours being transferred to different phone numbers, leaving lost and found claims through the website, sending emails, my husband traveling in person to the key retrieval kiosk TWICE, asked to check camera footage, and we were faced with confusion from their employees and unclear answers. When asked for the branch phone number I was told by the phone representative that they could not give out a branch’s phone number OR transfer me. I asked for an email to reach out to and was hung up on. We could’ve had a good experience, but their customer service was severely lacking.

A year ago, I rented a car that was in excellent condition—I have absolutely no complaints on that front—but the service provided by the older blonde woman at the front desk was unpleasant and repulsive. On that occasion, I went with my father—who was the one renting the car—and she asked us for a photo ID. We handed her my father's permanent resident card, but she refused to accept it and demanded his passport instead. We had to wait for someone to bring the passport from home, and once we finally had it in hand, she told us that the passport wasn't actually necessary after all. This significantly delayed the process, and we realized that she had never intended to process the rental using the resident card in the first place. Why she acted this way? We have no idea. I felt that, at times, she treated us—as well as other customers she assisted—in a racially biased manner. Today, a year later, my brother went to rent another car, and—unfortunately—that same insufferable woman waited on him. She told him she couldn't process his passport because the system indicated it had been issued in 2021, even though the passport clearly states that it was issued in 2023. It was just another one of her lies to avoid renting out a car. My brother ended up having to rent a different, much more expensive vehicle solely because of that woman. Because of her, this agency ends up losing customers; she has subjected both me and my family to terrible experiences with Sixt at the San Antonio airport. Consequently, I will clearly never return to—nor ever recommend—this agency again, simply because of that distressing woman.
