Once again, Safelite on Silicon Drive has met and exceeded my expectations!
A lot has happened in my life in the days leading up to my appointment, and I honestly wasn’t sure if I would be able to keep it. I reached out to see if I could drop off my son’s vehicle the day before my scheduled appointment, and of course, they said yes!
Today, just 18 minutes after my original appointment time, they called to let me know my son’s vehicle was ready for pickup. Beyond the excellent service, I truly appreciate the professionalism, flexibility, and compassion they showed me during what has been a difficult time in my life.
Sometimes, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference. Thank you to the entire Safelite team on Silicon Drive for making a stressful time a little easier. Your kindness and understanding did not go unnoticed, and I am genuinely grateful. 🙏
Blessings to you all,
Kendrick
Be very careful before choosing Safelite. There is NO way to reach the shop. You get booted to a CS rep who's working from home. They "create" a support ticket and you hope to get a call back.
Additionally, if your "at home service" is not done correctly, you have to go into the shop. This would make the 3rd time this has happened to me. Yes, I should have learned my lesson after the 1st time and gone with another company. That's on me.
Both times I've been to this shop, the manager & employee speak to me like I'm unaware how cars, wipers, and HUD work.
What I don't understand is the lack of customer service?
Perhaps it's because if you call to complain you get routed back to someone who will just create a mysterious support ticket in hopes someone follows up.
This time, which will be my last with Safelite, came with a crap windshield -meaning it's warped. Additionally, the wires for my camera were hooked up incorrectly and I had to redo the job myself. Finally, the windshield wiper settings are so bad they cannot be used. I'm back to 1983 of turning them off and on to control the clearing of the rain.
One other note, the 2nd time they replaced my windshield, the tech broke out part of the rearview mirror plate to run the wires from the rearview to the camera. The wires originally ran through the proper opening.
I just hung up from CS again. My last call was on 10/2. Apparently the district manager is out without an expected return date (or at least not one listed) and it appears no one covers their calls.
Overall Safelite has failed to provide quality products, professional installation, convenience as advertised and any real customer service.

Took the technician over 6 hours for replacement. I was there at 7:30 before they even open and was told it would take 2 hours tops [Had work and took morning off for this](Was super late due to this) The tech didnt even change my wipers or install rain repellant and i paid for total package. Also next day i can hear my windshield vibrating against the frame all along the top edge while driving 45+ mph so apparently he didnt even properly seal the glass. What happened they put the new guy to mess my shit up or what?

I am giving them a 1-star review because they changed the price on me between step 2 and step 4. After entering my VIN they quoted a sale on the premium windshield replacement package if paid in one lump sum today. It should have been $314.65 with this special. By the time I got to step 4, that base price was now $389.65. Both of these prices are before the recycling fee and the taxes. I have screenshots of both quotes. When I enabled chat, they just said I wasn’t including recycling and taxes. They didn’t even look at my pictures.
False advertising. I have chosen to go with a reputable local company instead of safelite.
Had my windshield replaced with Safelight. After paying for the premium service, there were some issues with the repair. At the warranty service call on a Friday, the technician said there was a “weird bend” in the glass. They needed to order a new windshield and would come back out Monday. Called at 2:30 Monday to confirm if they were still coming since I never got a confirmation text, the representative said yes. Called again at 4:30 and, after the representative tried unsuccessfully to get ahold of the store for 30 minutes, found out apparently there was never an appointment on the books and my warranty repair had been closed out without any repair taking place. Had to schedule a new repair for that Thursday. This was my second experience with Safelight. The first went the same way. They gave me a glass with an air bubble in it that kept growing and it took weeks for them to repair and I couldn’t get ahold of anyone. I went with safelight because I didn’t want to go to the dealership and wait to get reimbursed by insurance, but I should have. Would recommend others go straight through their dealership.
