I want to start by saying I’m not someone who typically leaves negative reviews, but my experience with this company was extremely disappointing. I’m a disabled veteran, and my wife is self-employed. We had an appointment yesterday to replace the rear glass on her Mustang following a hailstorm. My wife had to cancel several client appointments to accommodate the repair, resulting in lost income. Unfortunately, no technician showed up, and we received absolutely no notice or explanation. I had to call the following day, only to find out that even customer service had no idea why the shop canceled our appointment. I understand things happen, but a simple phone call could have prevented unnecessary financial loss and wasted time. With how expensive life is these days, customers deserve better communication and accountability. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and consideration for our time.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Had my front windshield replaced. We had a horrible rain storm 30 days later and my car leaked water all over my dashboard and radio. Destroyed My Car cars interior. No idea i had issues until that storm. It was clearly because they did not properly seal the window. I called thinking they would at least properly seal the window fixing their mess up, but nope. They said they are not responsible for any leaks that occur after they replace a windshield. Explain how their warranty does not cover a mistake their staff clearly made. Horrible company. I have used them for years and recommend them to everyone, not anymore. For those who had wonderful experiences, I was once you.

A female named Carmen came out was supposed to do a replacement. She did not want to do the replacement. safeLite in Rosedale, Maryland, put the glass in, saw the glass two days later, and there were blemishes in the glass. They said the glass was defective and it needed to be replacement. They sent my order over to Texas. The young lady came out. She did not wanna do a replacement. She didn’t even have the replacement window with her. They had no intentions on replacing the windshield. They gave me the runaround. They could not communicate with the shop back in Rosedale, Maryland. They could not reach each other’s lack of communications with this company on both ends. Not happy at all with the run all arounds I been getting with the Texas office they rescheduled me to see the manager, and they did not communicate with me about the day they rescheduled or time or whether I was available for that date or time. just poor communication, poor service

Beware of having your vehicles worked on at your home residence by Safelite due to the fact that the technicians will try and hide damaging your cars if they do so on your property, I had a windshield install installation and the technician hit my wife’s car door with my car door and if it was not for my security cameras, catching everything on evidence, they were trying to leave and not tell us but my video and photo’s even show, the technician try to rub it off with his hand, clearly admitting, and knowing he damaged the car, I have contacted the assistant manager at that location, but he gave poor consideration for customer service as his demeanor and tone of voice sounded completely like I was making the whole thing up.

I received a windshield replacement at home from the Safelite location on Toepperwein Blvd. The technician arrived on time, completed the job, & I paid by credit card. The next day, I noticed the trim around the windshield would not stay snapped in place, so I contacted Safelite for a warranty repair. The repair technician arrived on time & said the only solution he could offer was to GLUE the trim in place. He said this is how they secure the windshield & the glue would prevent it from moving. He also warned that if the windshield needed replacement again, I would likely need a new trim kit, estimated at $300 because of the glue. He completed the repair, provided a receipt showing no charge, & left. Two & a half months later, I received an email from Safelite stating “Our sales audit team has notified us that we are having an issue closing out a service ticket from date XX, while we do have proof of payment at time of service on a receipt, I do not have that authorization hold anymore. We will have to close out this ticket for XXX.XX with a new form of payment. I wanted to reach out and confirm first that you did not have those pending charges with your bank. Unfortunately, If I do not have payment by 09/24/26 I will have to send this ticket to collections.” This was the FIRST time anyone contacted me about a payment issue. I paid correctly at the time of service, yet Safelite waited two and a half months to tell me there was a problem—and their first communication was a threat of collections. This is completely unacceptable & unprofessional. If Safelite had an issue processing or closing the transaction, they should have contacted me promptly to resolve it. Their internal payment error is not the customer's responsibility. I strongly recommend avoiding the Safelite location on Toepperwein Blvd. They failed to properly complete the original job, required a questionable warranty repair, then threatened me over an issue caused by their own payment processing error.
