Disappointing and Misleading Experience
We visited this dealership ready to buy a vehicle and had a very frustrating experience. We told the salesperson we were looking for a specific out-the-door price of $29,000. The salesperson left to speak with the sales manager and then returned, telling us that the manager had agreed to the deal.
Based on that representation, we proceeded with the credit application and allowed the dealership to run our credit.
After our credit had already been pulled, the sales manager came over and informed us that they could not honor the price we had just been told was approved.
Whether the salesperson misunderstood or management changed their mind, it's unacceptable to tell customers that a deal has been approved, run their credit, and then immediately reverse course.
We were also disappointed by the dealership's deceptive website pricing. The "Bensons" advertised price for the vehicle we purchased was $27,285 before taxes. What was not mentioned on the website was the nearly $6000 in mandatory add-ons. Nowhere in the fine print did it mention add-ons.
In the end, we were able to purchase a vehicle, but the process was far more difficult and frustrating than it needed to be. We expected transparency and consistency, especially after being told a price had been approved. It would have been okay if the salesman had came back and said the manager didn't approve our out the door offer. We were expecting to negotiate. Unfortunately, whether it was a rogue salesman or a system built on deception, I couldn't in good faith recommend people shop here.

DANGEROUS, Dishonest, Disorganized, Dirty. Four words, four paragraphs, zero personal opinions included (you're welcome, corporate). Just matter of fact statements ( as I believe them to be at the time of writing ) you're welcome to try to refute.
Dangerous: see video. While children were running around inside, a gentleman on a scissor lift was maneuvering without a spotter and without a cordon, presumably fixing the stained drop ceiling directly above the main area. The warning beeper was so loud my ears are still ringing days later. Nothing says "family friendly dealership" like an active OSHA violation over the kids' heads.
Dirty: see video. The flooring looks like it hasn't been properly cleaned since it was installed (yes, the grout is supposed to be white). The walls are bare and scuffed, and the furniture appears to be original to the building, sometime in the early 90s. Charming, in a time capsule sort of way.
Disorganized: The lot is pure chaos. Vehicles are scattered across multiple lots with no functional system for tracking what's actually there. I genuinely cannot put into words how many hours I, plus multiple sales reps and managers, spent wandering around hunting for vehicles that turned out to be already sold, not ready for sale, or just flat out mislabeled. At a certain point it stopped feeling like car shopping and started feeling like a scavenger hunt with no prize at the end.
Dishonest: Their online prices are, conservatively, 20 to 30 percent below what they'll actually sell you the vehicle for, and that's before Tax, Title, and Registration. Multiple employees and managers misrepresented their inventory on more than one occasion. Then there's the price sheet, where they tack on (supposedly non-negotiable) $5,000 to $10,000 in add ons ranging from a gouge to a legitimate scam: tint, a battery replacement service, a theft recovery device, paint protection. Do your own research and form your own opinions on those.
And then there was the vehicle I actually went there to see. They told me it was on the lot. It wasn't. I called the internet sales rep later that day, and he said they had it. I called again the next day, and a different sales manager said they had it. I called a third time, 48 hours after physically standing on the lot confirming it was NOT there, and they swore up and down they had it (they did not). I called the original manager, the one who personally walked the lots with me looking for it, and he confirmed, 48 hours later, that they still did not have the vehicle. I even had someone else call separately just to ask about test driving it, and they were told it could be ready immediately (it could not). At one point the sales manager told me, flat out, "sometimes dealerships will say they have a vehicle that's already sold to get customers in the door." So credit where it's due, at least they were honest about being dishonest.
My experience was so bad, it was good. You could not script a more stereotypically miserable car buying experience if you tried. My number is on file, management is welcome to call, though I already know it's on file because I get about three calls a day pushing financing deals that seem custom built for people who can least afford a 25% interest rate. 3.5 hours of my life I will never get back, but at least I got a story out of it.
