- JAjacob arredondoApr 28, 20265.0I walked in to advanced auto parts and Rene Chavez greeted me with good customer service and help me find a cv axcel for my car and he is awesome and dependable and reliable on his knowledge he need to become a manager because most people don’t know about cars but he’s knowns what he’s talking when it come to cars he’s make the customer happy and understand and he deserves a raise and need to become a manager because this store wouldn’t be running well without him a he deserves all the acknowledgment he can get and there was a employee big fat dude not Rene but this employee didn’t help me because he was smoking in his ford but Rene went out of his way to help me while the other guy just ignored me and I need a military discount and that guy ignored me and he should be fired because no military should never be turned down but Mr Chavez helped me with my service and he was very helpful and knowledgeable and I asked the guy Mr Chavez what was his name his name was Emmanuel and someone walked out with something because Mr Chavez was by himself and the manager was not on the floor

I went in needing headlights and wasn’t expecting much, but both Rene and Emanuel went out of their way to help me find exactly what I needed and made sure I got a great deal too. They were patient, knowledgeable, and actually took the time to explain my options instead of just trying to sell me something. That kind of customer service is hard to find. If you’re heading there and need help, ask for Rene or Emanuel — they’ll take care of you.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
