- NSNuman SahinSep 11, 20261.0Very disappointing experience. I came here right at 8:00 AM to have my battery and alternator checked. An employee came out with the testing machine, but apparently the machine wasn’t charged. He took it back inside, plugged it in, and told me it would be ready in “one minute.” I waited for 20 minutes. Nobody came back or gave me any update. Finally, I asked another employee where he was, and I was told that he had left to make a delivery and that I would have to wait for him to come back. If you know you’re leaving for a delivery, why tell a customer “one minute” and leave them standing there for 20 minutes? Just be upfront and say, “I have to make a delivery, and the machine should be ready when I get back.” I could have decided whether I wanted to wait or go somewhere else. I don’t appreciate having my time wasted, especially first thing in the morning. A little communication and respect for customers’ time would have made a big difference.

I then walk back to the counter and ask about a flat head screwdriver,she just looks at me like I'm a ghost and say it will be in that isle and proceeds to get back on her phone. She seem like she wasn't interested in working nor care to help customers. This isn't the first interaction I've had with her because last time I came in to see if they can run the codes for my check engine light and she tells me that they don't that at this location but I'm looking at the sign on the window saying what all services Advanced Auto Parts provides.

Another person stepped in and assisted me and he found my order. I think Hunter doesn’t want to work today. I have not have a good customer service with him

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
