  To the owner who replied to my review, (jorgensen143) I don’t think we are speaking about the same vehicle. First, the component involved in this incident is the gas filler door/fuel door on my newly purchased 2024 Volkswagen Atlas. There is NO molding where the gas filler door is located. Your response repeatedly refers to the damaged component as the “lower exterior door molding,” which is inaccurate and does not properly identify the part involved in my claim. The gas filler door came off during the dryer portion of the wash. The gas filler door and exterior door molding are completely different vehicle components. Therefore, I am requesting that Quick Quack review the claim using the correct component involved in the incident. There is also a significant contradiction between your current response and what the manager told me directly following the incident. The manager specifically stated to me that the gas filler door was properly closed and secured when my vehicle entered the wash. He also told me that he reviewed the video footage and could see that the door was properly closed when I entered the wash. Your current denial now states that the evidence does not establish that the component was secured when I entered the wash. This directly conflicts with what your manager told me after reviewing the video. If your manager reviewed the footage and confirmed to me that the gas filler door was properly closed and secured before the wash, I do not understand how Quick Quack can now rely on the opposite assumption as the basis for denying my claim. You acknowledge that my 2024 Volkswagen Atlas meets the age requirement. The remaining issue you are raising is whether the gas filler door was properly secured. However, your response states that “the available evidence does not establish that the molding was secured.” That is not the same as establishing that the component was not secured. In this case, there is additional evidence that directly supports the component being secured before entering the wash: your manager personally told me that he saw on the video that the gas filler door was properly closed and secured when I entered the wash. Therefore, Quick Quack cannot reasonably rely solely on an absence of evidence to conclude that the component was unsecured when there is a statement from your own manager indicating the opposite. Additionally, the gas filler door was intact and properly closed before I entered the wash, and there was no known pre-existing damage. The door separated while my vehicle was in the dryer area. Your own response acknowledges that it separated as a result of the airflow from the dryers. If Quick Quack is claiming that the factory-installed gas filler door was improperly secured before entering the wash, I am requesting the specific evidence supporting that conclusion. Your response states that a properly secured exterior component is designed to remain attached when exposed to “normal airflow, including the airflow produced by vehicle travel.” I dispute the characterization that Quick Quack’s commercial dryers can simply be equated with ordinary airflow experienced during vehicle travel. A commercial car-wash dryer directs concentrated airflow at a vehicle at close range. If this comparison is being relied upon to deny my claim, please provide the technical specifications of the dryer system, including the airflow velocity, and the basis for Quick Quack’s conclusion that its dryer airflow is equivalent to ordinary vehicle travel. The fact that there was no physical contact between the vehicle and the wash equipment also does not establish that the dryer airflow could not have caused the gas filler door to detach. Your own review states that the component separated as a result of the dryer airflow. I do not believe it is reasonable to hold me responsible for approximately $500 in repair costs based on an assumption

  After being a customer for quite some time, I am extremely disappointed with how this company handles damage claims. I have taken my 2024 vehicle to this car wash previously, including with the same vehicle, and never had any issues. My vehicle was in normal condition when I entered the wash this time. During the drying/blower portion of the wash, my gas-filler door came completely off. The assistant manager actually retrieved the part from the wash area. The panel now has significant paint chipping and broken clips. What is frustrating is that one manager initially told me that the claim would more than likely be approved. However, the claim was ultimately denied because they stated there was “no malfunction” with their machines and that the panel simply “fell off.” One manager even questioned how they could know whether there was previous damage to the panel because the vehicle is a 2024 model. If there had been previous damage causing the panel to be loose, it would have come off while I was driving, including at highway speeds, or while opening the fuel door to get gas. It never did. I had also used this same car at their facility previously without any issues. The panel came off while going through their wash, specifically during the drying/blower portion. The manager told me he would take the matter back to his team and get back to me. It has now been approximately one week, and I still have not received the promised follow-up. I have called multiple times trying to speak with him and have not received a response. Customer care has now told me the matter is “out of their hands.” The most frustrating part is that they are refusing to take responsibility for an incident that occurred while my vehicle was going through their equipment, and now I am being forced to pay approximately $500 out of pocket to replace the panel. I understand that accidents can happen, but what matters is how a company handles them afterward. In this situation, I feel like I have been passed around, given conflicting information, and ultimately left to pay for damage that was not there when I entered the wash and occurred while using their equipment.   I bought a membership yesterday. The sales guy kept my debit card. I tried calling and could only speak with corporate. I wanted to find out if they still had my card at that location. He said he couldnt help then proceeded to say it was my fault. The sales guy went inside to scan it and didnt bring it back to me. This company sucks! The one on Saratoga already smashed into my front bumper with their roller brush, and they denied the claim after the employee even said it was 100% their fault. Im about done with this crappy car wash. It doesnt even clean that well in the first place.
