1 STAR — OUT-OF-STATE BUYERS BEWARE
I purchased a 2015 Silverado 3500HD from Arriba Motors on June 16, 2026. Nearly 3 months later, I still cannot register it in Colorado and my temporary registration has been expired for over a month.
I repeatedly contacted Arriba about the missing title/registration and received conflicting explanations. Melissa blamed Westlake, while Westlake said the dealer was responsible. Despite repeated requests, Arriba could not provide proof showing where or when my paperwork was submitted. Westlake Titles has now confirmed in writing that they have not received the title or registration for this vehicle.
Then it got worse.
Arriba asked me to obtain a Colorado diesel emissions inspection so they could extend/replace my expired temporary registration.
THE TRUCK FAILED.
The official inspection report shows failures for Electronic Engine Controls and Trap/Catalytic Converter. I was subsequently informed that emissions equipment, including the DEF/emissions system, had been removed/disabled.
None of this was disclosed when they sold me the truck. I have not modified the emissions system since purchasing it.
After discovering this, Arriba proposed cancelling/rescinding the sale. During our discussions, Arriba also acknowledged to me that the truck could not legally be sold in this emissions-modified condition.
I agreed to cooperate with the cancellation.
I then spoke with Jacky, a manager, who told me Arriba refuses to pay to transport the truck back to Texas. They want me to either drive it approximately 1,000 miles back myself or pay the transportation cost.
I have made it clear in writing that I am NOT refusing to return the truck. I will make it available for pickup in Colorado as part of a properly documented cancellation. I simply don’t believe I should lose work and spend more money correcting problems I did not create.
Earlier, Arriba also told me that if I returned the truck they would report it as a repossession. I continue making my Westlake payments and have never abandoned or voluntarily surrendered the vehicle.
This matter is now under review:
Texas DMV Enforcement — #27-0000904
Texas OCCC — #128841
I have documentation supporting these statements, including the failed emissions inspection and Westlake’s written title response.
Out-of-state buyers should know what my experience has been.
Arriba still has an opportunity to properly unwind the transaction, arrange pickup, return the money owed to me, resolve the Westlake financing, and protect my credit. If they do, I will update this review.
As of September 16, this remains unresolved.
