    I had an excellent experience purchasing my 2023 BMW X5 M50i from Sewell Plano, and I especially want to thank Michael Russell for making the entire process smooth and stress-free. From the beginning, Michael was incredibly knowledgeable and patient in explaining every detail about the vehicle, features, financing options, and overall process. He never made me feel rushed and took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly, which made me feel very confident in my decision. What stood out the most was his professionalism and follow-up throughout the process. He checked in thoughtfully without being pushy, gave me time to make my decision, and genuinely worked to ensure I was comfortable every step of the way. He also provided a very fair trade-in offer, which made the experience even better. Michael carefully went through all the paperwork and documents, explaining everything clearly, including the benefits, options, and what to expect moving forward. His warm, welcoming attitude and excellent customer service truly made the experience memorable. If you’re looking to purchase a vehicle at Sewell Plano, I highly recommend asking for Michael. He made buying my BMW X5 M50i a wonderful experience!

    I’m extremely disappointed with the service I received at Sewell BMWPlano. Six months ago, I had to replace a very expensive part on my BMW, which shouldn’t have been an issue until well over 100,000 miles, but it failed at only 40,000 miles. I even pointed out that the same part was recalled on the 2020 model, while mine is a 2021, hoping they might offer some assistance. To add insult to injury, they wouldn’t honor a 25% off coupon from another BMW dealership, opting to take off a measly $20 instead. What really frustrated me was when I went to pick up my car. It was just sitting at the service entrance, and since I was in a hurry to get to work, I just grabbed it myself. That’s when I noticed the dirty windshield and, upon using the washer, discovered the fluid was low. After spending a significant amount of money on parts that shouldn’t have failed so early, you’d think they could at least wash the car and top off the fluids. The whole experience was a letdown, and I expected much better service from a BMW dealership.

    I am genuinely disheartened and shocked by the experience I had with BMW Plano. As someone who chose BMW expecting professionalism, communication, and quality service, this entire situation was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Throughout the week, I struggled with poor communication and lack of follow-up from my service representative, David. I eventually had to speak with manager Mike because I was not getting clear updates or consistent customer service regarding my vehicle. After being told multiple times that my car would be ready Thursday, I did not receive it until Saturday. What was most upsetting was arriving to pick up my vehicle and discovering it was not even fully put back together. Interior panels were hanging loose, parts were left sitting in the passenger seat, and components were visibly disconnected. No customer should ever arrive to retrieve their vehicle from a luxury dealership and find it in that condition. It was only at pickup that I spoke with manager Daniel, who acknowledged the situation, reassured me it would be corrected, and asked what they could do to help make it right. While they did take the car back and provide a loaner for two hours while they rushed to reassemble it, the fact remains that the vehicle should never have been presented to me that way in the first place. This experience felt careless, rushed, and completely lacking in quality control. I trusted BMW Plano with my vehicle and instead left feeling frustrated, overlooked, and honestly embarrassed for the level of service provided. I have never experienced anything like this from any dealership, especially not BMW. Management seriously needs to reevaluate customer communication, accountability, and final vehicle inspections before releasing cars back to customers.

    We came into Sewell knowing exactly what we wanted—a specific pre-owned X5 we had already found online. Having owned several X5’s over the years, we didn’t need a sales pitch—just a smooth, straightforward transaction. Ajani Lockett understood that from the very first interaction. From our initial phone call to confirm the car was available, to coordinating a convenient time for us to stop in and test drive, he struck a balance—responsive and attentive without ever being pushy. Unlike the stereotypical sales experience, Ajani truly listened to every word and respected our time and intent. The result was a quick, seamless process paired with an unexpectedly personal level of service. What really set Ajani apart were the thoughtful touches at time of paperwork and delivery. Not only did he acknowledge my upcoming birthday, but he surprised me with flowers and even a diet-specific cake with candles to celebrate. In a world where these kinds of genuine, human moments are becoming rare, it made a lasting impression. On top of that, Ajani was highly responsive and thorough with every request, making the entire experience easy and enjoyable from start to finish. If you’re looking for someone who values both efficiency and authentic customer care, Ajani is your guy!

    I recently had my 2023 x5 serviced at Sewell. Prior to service, my car had sat in my garage for 2 weeks while I was out of town. When I received my video assessment of my vehicle, I was told that I had a nail/screw in my left rear tire that measured 3/32, low tire pressure on my right rear- rated 2/32, front left tire rated 4/32 and front right rated @8/32. The nail in the video was in the center of the tread and I was told it was not repairable. Followed by recommendations to also replace the two tires rated @2/32 and 4/32. While I found it odd that a tire with a nail in it sat in my garage for over 2 weeks with no alerts, I let the service associate know that I would not be replacing my tires that day. They understood and made a point of letting me know that the tires would be inflated to the proper pressure. While waiting to be notified that my service was complete (I was waiting), I eventually checked on a car parked in the service bay with flashers on that had been there 15 minutes to discover it was mine- never updated that it was ready. I drove home and everything was fine. Within 10 minutes of leaving my house the next morning- I received a low tire pressure alert- pull over immediately. I was able to get my vehicle to discount tire where they were absolutely able to repair the “punctured” tire . Before leaving, they also had to add air to my right rear tire. Since then, tire pressures have remained steady. While I do have plans to replace to 2 rear tires shortly, I have no intention of purchasing them at Sewell for nearly $100 more per tire. I also plan on giving the BMW dealership in McKinney that is much closer to my home a chance to earn my business- I wasn’t impressed with Sewell at all.
