Very disappointed with the communication from Kia of Plano.
My experience with the service department has been extremely frustrating. My vehicle has been sitting at the dealership while dealing with a major transmission issue, and getting updates has been difficult. I’ve had to repeatedly call and follow up myself just to find out what is happening with my vehicle.
What bothers me most is the lack of communication. If there is a delay, an approval is pending, or parts are taking longer than expected, I understand—but customers should not have to constantly chase the dealership for basic updates.
I expected much better communication and customer service from a Kia dealership, especially when dealing with a major repair. I hope management takes this seriously because keeping customers informed should be the bare minimum.
I would strongly recommend improving communication and follow-up with customers. The repair process is already stressful enough without having to constantly call to get information.

I recently purchased a vehicle and had the pleasure of working with Justin, and I can honestly say he was phenomenal! From the moment I arrived, he made the entire process smooth, easy, and stress-free. I was in and out in less than two hours, which is something I’ve never experienced when purchasing a vehicle.
Not only was Justin’s customer service outstanding, but he also did an amazing job guiding me toward the right vehicle. The car has exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
I’ve purchased vehicles before, but I’ve never had an experience quite like this. Justin made me feel like I was dealing with family rather than just a salesman, and that really meant a lot to me.
Justin, thank you for taking care of me and making this experience one to remember! If I’m in the market for another vehicle in the future, there’s no question—I’ll be coming back to Justin! Highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who genuinely cares about his customers. 🙌🏾🚗
Very disappointing and disrespectful experience at Clay Cooley Kia of Plano.
I visited the dealership on September 1 as a serious customer interested in purchasing a vehicle. I made an offer, and the dealership could not accept it. That was completely fine with me.
I respect a dealership’s right to reject my offer, just as I expect them to respect my right to decline their price and walk away. We don’t have to agree on a price, but we should still be able to communicate respectfully and professionally.
Instead, an employee named Justin began explaining the dealership’s operating costs, including employees, the building, lighting, vehicles, etc. I was also told that at the price I proposed, I could potentially buy the vehicle, take it to CarMax and resell it for a profit while the dealership lost money.
I found this unnecessary and disrespectful. If my offer doesn’t work, simply tell me, “We can’t do that price.” I would have respected that answer and left. There was no need to lecture me or make the conversation confrontational.
I eventually told Justin that I did not like his attitude, ended the conversation, and decided to leave.
What happened next is the main reason for this review.
While I was already walking out through the main entrance, Justin looked toward me and said “WATCH YOUR MOUTH” while making hand gestures/movements.
To be precise, he did not explicitly threaten physical harm. However, given his tone, body language, and the fact that I had already ended the conversation and was leaving, I found his behavior intimidating, disrespectful, and completely inappropriate.
I respect your right to reject my offer. Please respect my right to reject your price. We don’t have to make a deal, but we should be able to walk away professionally.
I have formally reported this incident and requested that management preserve and review the available security footage. I hope senior management takes this seriously and addresses it appropriately.

The absolute worst dealership and service center I have ever dealt with. My 2024 Kia Forte, purchased brand new from this dealership, has been brought in three separate times for the same engine overheating issue, and they still have not fixed it.
They keep my car for weeks, provide little to no updates, are nearly impossible to reach, give no clear repair timeline, and somehow never have a loaner available. Then I get the car back with the exact same problem.
Three visits for the same serious issue with a nearly new vehicle is unacceptable. Their service department has been unreliable, unprofessional, and completely incompetent in handling this situation.
I have lost all confidence in this dealership and in Kia. I would strongly recommend taking your business somewhere else.

I had a great experience at this dealership, and I especially want to recognize Johnny, my salesman. He was incredibly patient, never made me feel pressured, and genuinely seemed to have my best interest in mind. He took the time to answer my questions, work with me, and make sure I was completely happy with my decision.
The dealership was also willing to negotiate, and the customer service throughout the entire process was excellent. I left feeling like I got a fair deal and, most importantly, with no regrets. It was one of those experiences where you leave thinking, “I made the right choice.” I would definitely recommend Johnny and this dealership to anyone looking for a great car-buying experience.
