My first visit here. My first impression is that it’s not clear what the procedure is. Going inside to ask I was met with a not so friendly person who said "go outside and they will help you“. I went out and waited a minute and was greeted by a friendly young lady who explained the process and checked in my car. After about an hour and a half my car was done. Seemed like a long time but I was told it might be a while. When it came time to check out the young man at the counter took my payment without saying almost anything. To be hi est this is why I almost never go to a Wal mart. I can’t imagine that part of the hiring process is to find the least friendly most unhappy person and offer them a job. Everyone has bad days though so this could be that. I went to my car and I noticed the steering wheel had oil on it. I went back inside and asked for something to clean it off. The young man came back with some sort of wipes, handed them to me without a word.

I’ve been coming to Express Oil Change for the past 2+ years and I’ve never had a negative experience with them. I normally get serviced by Gio and he’s been exceptional with every trip, providing amazing customer service! The new management truly cares for the customers and all the guys take pride in and are intentional about their work! It’s always harder for women to not get highly priced by car shops, but with them, I always leave there well advised and well taken care of. I highly recommend this location! Ask for Gio or Jose and they’ll point you in the right direction!

I went to the Express Oil Change / Tires Engineers service station yesterday, September 15, 2026, to get my car's oil and filters changed and the tires rotated. I had a very pleasant experience being served by three friendly, customer-oriented young men: Dominic, who had initially scheduled my appointment and greeted me as soon as I arrived, quickly giving me the necessary instructions for the process. When my car was being serviced, Gio explained all the steps to be performed on the car and the routine checks they do. He mentioned the cost, all very kindly. Then José, who seemed to be the youngest, served me and gave me the invoice with great tact and clarity regarding the services. It's a pleasure to go to service places for our cars and find young people who make the place feel respectful, honest, friendly, and provide excellent service! Congratulations!

Tried to get a state emissions test. This place managed to turn it into an epic saga of weirdness involving Texas DPS bureaucracy. The underlying problem is fairly simple: modern cars use OBD-II, and occasionally a vehicle fails to communicate with the emissions analyzer. Fine. That happens, and Texas DPS has a procedure for dealing with it. The customer-service problem was that the representative explained what happened very, very poorly. Instead of telling me, “Our analyzer couldn't communicate with your car; here's what you need to do next with DPS,” I was told that the problem was I drive a Subaru and they don't have the equipment to read Subarus. That's simply false. A 2024 Subaru uses OBD-II just like other modern cars. Telling a customer otherwise suggests the staff dealing with inspection customers haven't been adequately trained to explain an OBD communication failure or the DPS process that follows it. I should not have to research Texas emissions-testing protocols, read a DPS inspection manual, track down the correct DPS phone number, and talk to the state myself just to understand what happened during a routine emissions test. 0/10. The equipment having difficulty communicating with my car isn't what earns the bad review. Poor customer service caused by inadequate training is. UPDATE: Your automated response is almost comically beside the point. Neither the speed nor the efficiency of the service is what I complained about. The problem was incorrect information from inadequately trained staff. I was told that your equipment could not read my Subaru, when the actual issue was an OBD-II communication failure with the emissions analyzer. I then had to determine for myself what had happened and contact Texas DPS to resolve it. There is nothing you need to “make right” for me at this point; I have already done what was necessary. The appropriate corrective action is internal: train your customer service representatives — and the manager I spoke with — on what an OBD-II communication failure is, how it should be explained to a customer, and what the customer is supposed to do next. A generic invitation to submit my contact information does not address the issue I raised.

I originally gave this shop a good review because I genuinely believed they had taken care of my car and wanted to give them credit for their work. After everything that has happened since, I completely retract that review. I originally brought my car here because it was leaking brake fluid. They had my car for approximately three weeks the first time, with horrible communication throughout the entire process. When I finally got my car back, the original problem was not fixed. I brought it back, and was told they had fixed it. When I got the car back this time, there were already things that did not seem right. The brake pedal would not even come all the way back up on its own. I literally had to put my foot underneath the pedal and physically push it back up. There was also a wire sticking out from underneath the steering wheel/dash area that had not been there before. (they had claimed this was fixed) Shortly after this, my car died. So once again, I brought it back to the shop. They told me they had fixed it again. Then, while driving the car, my brakes failed on me. I genuinely could have died. I specifically brought this vehicle to a professional repair shop because I had a brake fluid leak. I trusted them to properly diagnose and repair my brakes, and I was repeatedly told the vehicle was fixed. Yet I continued to experience serious problems with the braking system, ultimately resulting in my brakes failing while I was driving. I brought the car back yet again and was told that the ABS module needed to be replaced. I paid to have the ABS module replaced, and the problem still was not fixed. Now my car is STILL at the shop because the original brake fluid leak/problem has returned, and I am now being told that they can't fix it. To make matters even more frustrating, yesterday over the phone I was told that something had supposedly “ricocheted” and broken something on the vehicle. This is the first time we have been informed of this damage. If something happened to my vehicle while it was in their possession, I don't understand why we were not informed when it happened or why we are only hearing about it now, after all of these repairs and expenses. At this point, they have had my car for over a month total across all of these visits. I've dealt with horrible communication, had my car for weeks at a time, paid for repairs that did not resolve the problem, had my car die, had a brake pedal that wasn't functioning normally, had a wire left sticking out underneath the steering wheel, had my brakes fail while driving, paid to replace an ABS module, and I STILL don't have a functioning vehicle. I understand that cars can have complicated problems and that repairs don't always go perfectly. But this is a safety-critical issue. When someone brings their car to a professional because they're having a problem with their brakes, they should be able to trust that the vehicle is safe when it leaves the shop. Instead, I was repeatedly told my car was fixed when it clearly wasn't. I gave this shop the benefit of the doubt. I even initially gave them a positive review. After everything that has happened, I completely retract that review. This isn't just about poor customer service, wasted time, or money. I genuinely could have been seriously injured or killed. My car is still sitting at their shop, over a month later, and the original problem still isn't resolved. This started in June, and it is already almost September. I would not recommend this shop to anyone, especially for something as serious as a braking-system issue.
