  Safelite — Immediate Escalation Required I am extremely dissatisfied with the way this matter has been handled. It is unacceptable that my vehicle still has not been properly repaired after Safelite’s original windshield replacement created additional issues with my vehicle. I need a direct and definitive answer immediately: Have you actually ordered a NEW replacement windshield/window along with ALL of the appropriate clips, seals, trim pieces, fasteners, and other components required to complete a proper factory-quality installation? I do not want another temporary correction, patch, adjustment, or incomplete repair. The original installation resulted in persistent wind noise at all speeds and damage to the two roof pieces near the windshield, which I previously reported. These issues need to be fully rectified—not minimized, dismissed, or repeatedly inspected without meaningful corrective action. At this point, I expect Safelite to take full ownership of the workmanship issue and provide a comprehensive solution. If the windshield was improperly installed or the wrong components were used, I expect the replacement to be performed correctly using all necessary OEM-compatible parts and installation materials, rather than attempting to reuse damaged, compromised, or improperly fitted components. Please confirm in writing: 1. Whether the new windshield/window has been ordered. 2. The exact parts and components that have been ordered, including clips, seals, moldings, trim, and fasteners. 3. Whether the replacement will address the wind noise occurring at every speed. 4. How Safelite intends to address the damaged roof pieces near the windshield. 5. The expected date the parts will arrive. 6. The earliest date the complete repair can be performed. 7. Whether the vehicle will be thoroughly inspected after installation to ensure there are no remaining leaks, wind noise, loose trim, damaged clips, or installation defects. I have already spent enough time dealing with an issue that should have been resolved correctly the first time. I should not have to repeatedly contact Safelite to obtain a basic repair for damage and problems associated with your service. This needs to be escalated immediately. I expect a substantive response—not another generic appointment, another inspection that does not resolve the problem, or an explanation that simply shifts responsibility. Please provide me with a clear repair plan and confirmation that all necessary parts have actually been ordered. I expect this matter to be handled with the level of professionalism, accountability, and technical competence that should have been demonstrated from the beginning.

  Got my windshield replaced through a progressive claim. Stupid simple! I scheduled a time and they can straight to my house and replaced the windshield. I met with the technician and he was super courteous, quick, and did an awesome job. If you’re busy, you can literally just leave your car unlocked and there’s no contact needed too. Excellent service, highly recommend!

  It was a great experience. They called early and let me know they would be in my area early and wanted to come sooner, which was perfect for us. They came to my house and changed my windshield out in just over an hour. Xavier did a great job on our car and let us look it over before completing payment. Very professional

  The service technician did not arrive during the scheduled appointment window, and I did not receive a call or any update regarding the delay. I took the day off work specifically to be available for this appointment, so having to reschedule because of a no-show is extremely frustrating and inconvenient. I would appreciate an explanation for what happened.

  Had my vehicle broken into on Wednesday morning. They didn’t have any inventory available for my truck so we scheduled an appointment for Thursday. I arrived early on Thursday because I was told I could come before my appointment since it was at the end of the day. They were on break and said it would be an hour before break was over. Sat in my vehicle till they were done with break and after checking in they said the incorrect part was ordered from their customer service group. They have a local warehouse but said they can only get one delivery a day so we’d have to wait till tomorrow before the correct piece would arrive. It’s not ideal to drive with a plastic wrap on the window, especially when this was the time I slotted for my appointment. Called another local shop and they told me to come on by - better price and they went and picked up the glass as soon as I called.
