  I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this Enterprise location. I made a reservation online for a midsize SUV for approximately $57 for the day and selected a 6:00 PM pickup based on the availability Enterprise showed online. I took an Uber to the location expecting my reserved vehicle to be available. After waiting in line, I was told they did not have a vehicle for my reservation. The employee pointed out that I had made the reservation earlier that day and told me they had been extremely busy and had not had time to call me to let me know a vehicle wasn’t available. He then checked to see what he could do and came back offering me a Mustang. I agreed because I had already been dropped off at the location and this was the vehicle they had available. I did NOT request a Mustang or ask to upgrade my reservation. What I find completely unacceptable is that I was then charged approximately $55 more for the Mustang—essentially doubling the price of my original reservation. If Enterprise cannot provide the vehicle class a customer reserved and offers another vehicle as a substitute, the customer should not be financially penalized for Enterprise’s lack of inventory. Had I been told, “We only have a Mustang, but taking it will cost you approximately twice what you reserved,” I would have had the opportunity to make an informed decision. That was not disclosed to me before I accepted the substitute vehicle. I understand that inventory issues happen. My issue is with being allowed to reserve a vehicle, receiving no call that it was unavailable, arriving by Uber to find out there was no vehicle for me, and then being charged substantially more for the replacement Enterprise provided. I have disputed the additional charge with my credit card company. I would encourage anyone renting here to carefully verify the final rate before leaving, especially if Enterprise is unable to provide the vehicle class you originally reserved.
