I was with Avis for 18 years, but over the last year their customer service has been terrible — late receipts, dirty cars when I picked up rentals, gas tanks not topped off, etc. I switched to National about two months ago and have been completely happy with the positive customer service and clean cars. Thank you-

We needed an upgrade since my mom is frail and had to use a walker, plus our original rental was loaded with gear. Instead of unloading it and then transporting it to the new car. They arranged to bring the replacement to the main terminal that made for an easy transfer of mom and all the luggage. Took extra effort from the staff and broke with their typical workflow, but was exactly the service we needed and is gettering rarer, these days. Keep up the good work!

Jena is the kind of employee every customer-facing company hopes to have. I want to take a moment to recognize Jena at National Car Rental - Lubbock TX Airport, because exceptional customer service is one thing, but what Jena provides is something entirely different. Jena has that rare ability to make you feel like you are dealing with an actual human being who genuinely cares - not simply an employee completing a transaction. She was attentive, incredibly personable, patient, and genuinely invested in making sure I had a positive experience not just with my rental, but for the remainder of my travel day. What struck me the most was that her kindness never felt performative - it was organic. She listened. She anticipated needs. She communicated clearly. She treated me with respect and warmth. And she somehow managed to make what could have been a completely ordinary rental-car interaction feel genuinely memorable. That is an incredibly difficult thing to teach someone. You can train procedures. You can train systems. You can train someone to process a rental agreement. You cannot easily train someone to care and show up the way Jena clearly does. I sincerely hope the GM of the Lubbock Airport location sees this review and understands, explicitly, what an asset they have in her. Employees like Jena are the reason customers remember a company. They are the reason someone chooses to return. In an industry where customer interactions can so easily become rushed, impersonal, and transactional, Jena stands out enormously. She represents the kind of hospitality and professionalism that should be hep up as an example for an entire team. Whatever recognition, commendation, award, bonus, or acknowledgment exists within your organization for outstanding customer service, Jena deserves to be considered for it. If there isn't a formal way to recognize employees like her - she is exactly the kind of employee who makes the case for creating one. Lubbock Airport is lucky to have you Jena, and National is lucky to have you representing the company.
