Excellent experience at Brakes Plus in Lewisville! Huge shoutout to GM Robert for the outstanding customer service and Tito for taking care of my belt and idler pulley replacement. Both were professional, friendly, and made the entire experience smooth and hassle-free. It’s refreshing to find a shop that genuinely takes care of its customers. Appreciate you both! Definitely earned my 5 stars and future business!

Ended up at this Brakes Plus after going to the O’Reilly Down the road when my car started throwing off overheating warnings. The staff their recommended this location specifically (even though there were other, closer stores) and cited the staff as being great and fair. And I can’t say just how right that was! I came in Saturday afternoon 20 minutes before close and my service advisor, Guss, helped me right away. He was upfront about the time it would take and based on the information I gave him, gave me some estimates on what could be wrong. Unfortunately it was a bigger issue, but they called me early Monday morning before running a more expensive test, then called not long after that with another update. They said it would be ready by 4, but it was done at 1. Every time I spoke to Gus’s he was friendly, personable, commiserated with me (gotta love a rat breaking your radiator…). I feel confident in the service I received and appreciate this team so much!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gus at Brakes Plus in Lewisville is the definition of OUTSTANDING customer service! If you need someone you can trust with your car, ask for Gus! From the very first phone call, he took care of us and made us feel like we were in good hands. We had just picked up my car from Toyota, but after hearing their extremely high prices for the repairs my car needed, we decided to look elsewhere. We called Brakes Plus, and Gus answered, listened to our concerns, and asked us to bring the car in so he could properly diagnose the problem. He took care of my brakes and battery and had my car ready the SAME DAY! He also explained that there was another important repair my car needed: the water pump. Unfortunately, about a week later, my car overheated, and I had to bring it back. More money spent, LOL! 😂 But Gus was understanding, helpful, and focused on getting my car back in good shape. He even gave us a small discount and helped us apply for their credit card to make the expense a little easier to manage. But what really impressed me was what happened after the water pump repair. As soon as I picked up my car and drove away, I heard a loud noise. I immediately made a U-turn and went back. Gus didn't hesitate for a second. He took the car for a drive himself, confirmed the noise, and had the team take it back to fix the issue. That right there says EVERYTHING about his character and the way he treats his customers! Gus is helpful, communicative, reliable, friendly, honest, and genuinely committed to making sure his customers are taken care of. He doesn't just take your money and send you on your way. He listens, explains what needs to be done, and stands behind the service he provides. My car is now running perfectly, and we spent significantly less than what Toyota was charging us. I couldn't be happier with the experience! Gus, if you ever read this, THANK YOU for taking care of us! Employees like you are hard to find, and Brakes Plus is lucky to have you. Your customer service, patience, and willingness to go the extra mile truly make a difference. And to anyone reading this review: if you need anything “above the tires,” as Gus likes to say, and he tells you your car needs attention, GUS IS YOUR GUY, PEOPLE! 😂🙌 Don't hesitate to ask for him at Brakes Plus on Windhaven in Lewisville. You won't regret it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five stars aren't enough for this kind of service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

In late February of this year, I brought my car in for a brake diagnosis. I was told that both the rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. I paid for the service and left. In May, I started hearing squeaking noises, so I returned to the same store. This time, the recommendation was to replace the front brakes and rotors. I agreed and paid for that service as well. Now, just six months later, I am being told that the rear rotors and brake system need to be replaced again, and the front ones will need attention soon. I have driven less than 20,000 miles since the initial service. It is very difficult to justify the cost of these repairs when the quality of the parts they use is so poor. I would not recommend this store or chain for any brake work.
