I had a really concerning electrical issue on my 2024 GMC Sierra Denali HD after another location replaced my batteries. The lights were flashing rhythmically, the roof marker lights were acting up, and even the windshield wipers were pausing intermittently while driving. I brought it to this AutoZone, and Josh immediately recognized that something was wrong with the previous battery install. He took the time to thoroughly inspect and clean everything, explained what was happening, and made sure all the connections were properly seated and corrected. Turns out the issue was excessive grease/terminal protectant causing poor electrical contact. Once Josh cleaned everything up and tested the system, the truck went back to normal. He was professional, knowledgeable, patient, and took the problem seriously instead of brushing it off. Modern trucks are extremely sensitive electrically, and he clearly understood that. Huge thanks to Josh for saving me from what I thought was going to become a major dealership repair bill.

Beware of them lying to your face to get a up sale. If 0 stars was an option I would have given them a negative 10. Today I went to this Autozone to charge my battery around 11:40am. I was told about an hour and a half my battery should be charged. I was under the assumption that they would at least attempt to charge my battery however that wasn’t the case. When I went back around 1:30 to pick up my battery the first thing I noticed was that my battery was cold to the touch meaning the battery was never put on a charger. Then on top of that the employee proceeded to “check” my battery and looked me straight in my face and told me my battery was bad. I then pointed out how is it a bad battery when this battery was purchased last year and it’s cold. At that point the employee says that my battery is dead and to go to o’Reilly to get a warranty swap. Went to my truck at which point I looked up the nearest o’Reilly luckily it was just around the corner. I’m new to this area so I don’t know exactly where places are around here. Anyways I went to the o’Reilly they had me place my battery in the charging station which to me actually confirms that hey I at least know my battery will get an attempted charge. I was told a given time frame of about 45 minutes to an hour. I’m not exaggerating when I say not even 45 mins later they actually called me. I was amazed because they actually called me which in my opinion is actually really good customer service. The employee who helped me with my battery at o’Reilly notified me and let me know that my battery was done charging and surprise surprise not really a surprise, it actually turned out to be a good battery with a 100 percent charge. Not only was my time wasted in the morning I was disappointed given that when I worked for autozone in El Paso it didn’t matter if the battery was from autozone Walmart or o’Reilly one thing I would never do is lie about something just to get a up sale. Costumer satisfaction is not a thing here I guess. So if you go here with anything battery related save your time and money because they can’t even do the bear minimum. They would rather lie to you waste your time and have you spend money when you really don’t have to.
