  Everyone was very respectful , and the front desk helped keep me updated on when my car would be ready, they also showed me what was wrong with the tire, then repaired the tire successfully and in a timely manner.

  The front receptionist girl was snooty and putting blame on a first time customer. Won't be giving them business again. For a business named National Tire & Battery they are incredibly SLOW doing tires. Corporate needs to pay the techs more so they aren't short handed or get better techs. I booked an appointment via phone call for a set of 4 new tires over the phone. The appointment was at 10am. I got another phone call confirming the appointment and the service receptionist estimated 1hr 30min for the tires to be changed. Then when we arrived it increased to over 2 hours since they were busy... So appointments are pointless. After waiting for 3 hours they called as I was waiting in the coffee shop next door. They said they just finished the tires and we're going to start the alignment. It took another 40 minutes to check the alignment. I agreed to pay for them to fix the alignment as the tires were 400$ and didn't want a bad alignment to ruin them. Another 100$ for the alignment was done. For 4 tires and an alignment it took 4 hours! The work performed seemed decent but nothing exceptional. They didn't clean the rims and tires like discount tire has done for me and automatically replace valve stems. They just did the standard mount and balance nothing more. I'll give them credit for letting me know the front brakes were bad. But didn't want to wait another lunar new year for them to get them done. They didn't ask me if I wanted to pay extra for valve stems. So they just gave me my car with the old valve stems. The receptionist blamed me for not adding it to the appointment. Like I was supposed to know they don't automatically include valve stems on a new tire install like 90% of other tire shops do..

  Henry was very helpful and kind he is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend bringing your car in to NTB if you’re needing a diagnostic check up on your car.

  On March 11th, 2026 I woke up to a flat tire my my Jeep SUV, and I called AAA roadside assistance to come fix the flat. As it turned out, the damage was not fixable, so the driver placed my spare time on for me and asked if I wanted him to place the flat tire beneath the truck. I told him no, because it was about time to buy a new set of tires. I schedule an appointment for the following day and took my vehicle in for service. When I arrived at the store for my scheduled appointment at 1 PM on March 12th, I asked that they place the spare back underneath the truck after the installation of the new set of tires, and they said they would take care of it. I also asked them to change my oil while they were servicing the tires. At about 4:45 they brought my vehicle around and the manager explained that they could not put the spare tire back on, because the mechanism to raise the tire up was "broken". I asked how that could have happened, and he said the person from AAA roadside assistance must have broken it by pulling the chain to far up, and he could not get the chain to come down. I did not have any reason to doubt him, and they placed the spare in the back of my SUV. As I was leaving the store, I also noticed they did not reset my oil change indicator light, and they did fill up my windshield fluid, which was empty when I brought it in. After leaving NTB, I called the local AAA service contractor, League City Towing), and scheduled a time to bring my Jeep to them to see if they could take a look at the tire lifter. When I arrived the next morning, they had no issue lowering the chain, and raising the spare tire back underneath. With the exception of the receptionist, Jasmine, the service at this location was terrible, and the manager flat-out lied about my space tire, and the lift being broken. I think it was close to 5 o'clock, and he wanted to go home. The Goodyear Wrangler Workhorse tires I purchased were excellent, and I would purchase them again, but not from the League City location.
