  I pulled into an unmarked, seemingly useful pump. Tried to pay for my gas at the booth and the older woman almost let my transaction go through before she remembered that the pump wasn't working. So I got back in my car and pulled into a different pump while making a comment to my fiancee how the pump wasn't labeled as non functioning and how the woman almost let me pay for the pump even though it wasn't working. While im gassing my car at the other pump, the clerk came up to me and said " the pump cover was there the whole time, you just didn't see it." Very defensively. Just straight lying through her teeth. We didn't even .are the comment to her, she just got defensive and weird overhearing our conversation.
