  Safelite received a fully functioning truck to do a chip repair and I had to get my truck towed away.

  Safelite was pretty disappointing. They came late with no notice and left a mess with the glass. It was all over the car, the seats, and the driveway. They tried to overcharge me and didn’t put the rubber lining in, so my windshield is still unfinished.

  I initially asked for a windshield repair but upon instruction from the technician the crack was out of tolerance for repair 3 inches so I request a windshield replacement. The next technician was very professional from start to end but both were very professional.

  They were referred to us by our insurance company. They were very prompt in making an appointment, very prompting coming out, great communication, very knowledgeable polite serviceman who did an excellent job.

  If I could give Safelite 0 stars, I absolutely would. My appointment was scheduled f mmm or 8:00 a.m., but the technician called me at 7:00 a.m. saying he was already on his way. I was still at work and had scheduled the appointment for 8:00 for a reason. I ended up having to leave work early because the technician arrived an hour before my scheduled time, which was extremely inconvenient. The repair itself was even more disappointing. I had a small crack in my front windshield. I understood going into the appointment that a repair wouldn’t make it disappear completely, but I expected it to at least look better and prevent it from getting worse. Instead, after the technician finished, it looked exactly the same as it did before. It honestly felt like nothing had been done, making the entire appointment a waste of my time and money. When I expressed my concerns, the technician simply shrugged and told me that when I decided to replace the entire windshield, the money I paid for the repair would be applied toward the replacement. That response was frustrating because it made me feel like there was no real effort to repair the damage—just an opportunity to sell me a new windshield. I chose Safelite because of its reputation, but this experience fell far below my expectations. Between arriving before my scheduled appointment, the ineffective repair, and the dismissive customer service, I left feeling disappointed and taken advantage of. I hope Safelite takes this complaint seriously and works to improve both the quality of its repairs and the way customers are treated.
