Part 1 — Excellent Customer Service
I am a senior and a regular AutoZone shopper who has been a customer for several years, shopping at AutoZone locations in five different states.
On September 14, 2026, I visited AutoZone Store #03964 and received EXCELLENT customer service from Ms. Ayla. She was very attentive, patient, and understanding while assisting me with the installation of my newly purchased windshield wiper blades.
Ms. Ayla took the time to patiently teach me how to install the wipers myself. When I asked for assistance, she did not hesitate to help. She remained pleasant, professional, and respectful throughout our interaction, especially during a time when I was already having a disappointing experience with another employee.
I truly applaud Ms. Ayla for her dedication, professionalism, patience, and commitment to providing excellent customer service. Employees like her make a positive difference and reflect the kind of customer care that shoppers appreciate.

Part 2 — Disappointing Customer Service
My first interaction in the store was with Isaac, who was working at the register. I asked if he could assist me in finding the correct windshield wiper blades for my vehicle. He checked the system and directed me to go down the aisle to select a set.
I did as instructed and returned to the register. When I came back, Isaac looked at the wipers as though they might not be the correct ones. I asked him again what type I should purchase, and he again directed me to go down the aisle and look to the left. At the time, there were no other customers waiting in line, so I was disappointed that he did not take the opportunity to provide more direct assistance.
I went back to the aisle and selected a more expensive pair of wiper blades. After returning to the counter and completing my purchase, I asked Isaac if he could help me install them on my vehicle. There were still no other customers in line. He looked at me but did not respond. Since I needed assistance, I approached Ms. Ayla and asked if she would be able to help me. She immediately responded that she would assist me, and she provided the patient, professional service I had been seeking.
Afterward, Isaac stated that I had not waited for him to answer. I politely explained that, at that point, I did not feel that he was going to assist me because I had already asked him several times for help and had received little to no assistance or indication that he intended to help.
I found Isaac's attitude and manner toward me to be rude and disrespectful. If he was unable or unwilling to assist with the installation, I believe he should have simply communicated that to me rather than leaving me without an answer.
In my several years of shopping at AutoZone locations in five different states, I have generally received helpful and courteous customer service from employees. Unfortunately, my interaction with Isaac at Store #03964 was very different from those experiences.
I hope management will review this interaction with Isaac and provide appropriate customer-service coaching or retraining. Customers should feel welcomed, respected, and assisted when they ask for help.
