  I scheduled an appointment with Safelite in Katy last Thursday for a rear glass replacement on my Ford F-550, which has a mechanical arm in the back. My appointment was set for Saturday between 12 PM and 5 PM. I called them because I knew they were supposedly the best at this kind of work, since the job seemed tricky. After getting a quote of over $480, the technician arrived and told me they could do the job—but only if I removed the entire rear cabin and the mechanical arm first. This is absolutely ridiculous. On the picture is obvious that there’s access. It’s not like if you can’t reach. Even the crane can be moved to make it easier.They only want to do the work if it’s easy for them, and I’m really disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend them. Now let’s see how they will refund me since the service was paid up front

  Christian our technician was prompt, set expectations and finished service well along with in a timely manner. Glad to have my windshield replaced looking as good as new!

  Robert the Safelite technician was absolutely incredible, very professional, and did a very efficient and clean job on replacing my Wife's BMW X5 windshield.

  I have done business with Safelite many times and have always been impressed with the quality of work, the professionalism of the technicians and the ease of booking the appointments. I have never had to deal with the support side of things until now and it has been a nightmare. My last appointment scheduled was for a simple crack repair on my wife's vehicle. It was supposed to be easy but the technician that came out accidentally crack the entire windshield and he told us the whole windshield needed to be replaced. OK, mistakes happen, no problem and it was taken care of on the same day. After the incident, we started to notice odd odor in her vehicle everytime after it rained. Then we found that the windshield frame was not installed properly and that's probably how the water leak inside of the car. We tried both the local and 800 phone numbers and we just get the automated system. When we pressed the option to speak with anyone about the warranty or scheduling a new appointment, it just goes in the loop without any option to leave a message or request a call back. It just tells us, "customer support is not available right now" and hang up. We would appreciate if upper management from Safelite could get back to us to assist with resolving this issue. Not only it is a horrible business practice that your customers cannot get a hold of anyone but this is also a safety hazard on my wife's vehicle.
