Where do I begin.
First off, its good to know that the high degrees of intelligence, working at the Jasper Tx GREASE MONKEY, figured out a way to install a make-shift RAM Air acoop to the underside of a 2017 Honda CRV.
YES, you read that correctly. Regardless of the manufacturer's design, the GREASE MONKEY crew found a workaround by eliminating most of the hardware designed to hold the bottom portion of the protection plate up and instead, made the decision to use ZIP_TIES to connect that part to the car.
Not only that, but the position of the plate was also changed.
The GREASE MONKEY CREW knowingly installed the plate onto the OUTSIDE of the seal, which made it impossible for it to work as designed, but it REALLY did help with that rugged, cosmetic airflow look.
(Think of a well maintained car mixed with destruction derby)
Now listen, I know this all sounds dangerous, considering that a loose, flapping, metal plate hanging on the bottom of a car and intermittently scrapping the pavement could have come apart and hit a brake-line.... but the loosely held together ZIP_TIES added a new element to the plate while it was being bent against the surface of the road. Sound!
Yes, the car made new sounds as it drove off into the sunset.
But I TRUST that the science behind such a futuristic design, created by the GREASE MONKEY Team, is a reflection of the intellect hired to perform the duties and tasks needed to uphold the company's Core Values.
Besides who needs enemies when you're own employees activities can loose customers for you, right...
Right?
A good word is being sent to the fine engineering team at Honda, and possibly a lawyer. An OEM part will be on order and a bill will be sent.
