Giveing this place 2 stars because the initial leasing process went fine.
Come to the last 2 months of the lease and I have called this dealership to simply inquire about grounding the lease early. When I first called, we were in the market to replace the leased vehicle. We looked for a replacement verhicle at Clay Cooley Ford, where the sales staff was very helpful in trying to locate what we were looking for, but wouldn't do anything in regards to the lease. We were told anything dealing with the lease has to be done at the dealership we got it from. Okay, fine. Mistakenly thought there would have been more coordination to make things easier for a customer within your "family of dealerships" but whatever.
I have tried calling 6 times so I could get a simple answer before wasting time driving to and from the dealership. I usually get bounced around to different extensions with no one understanding why I was transfered to them. I've left voicemails on an extension 3 times now and sent an email through the website "Contact Us"; where I did not check the contact me via text box. But did get a reply, via text, from "brandon" saying he would be helping me with my car buying, I replied 'STOP' so I would be unsubscribed from something I explictly did not consent to in the first place.
Fast forward 6 weeks, we are not in the market for a vehicle anymore and are eagerly anticipating being done with the Jeep and Clay Cooley. One simple return of any of my 6 calls could have made this a very different review.

I bought a truck from clay cooley ram doge and i was told that the payment is 800 a month. It became over 1000. I was told to also lie to the bank and told them that I out 2000 down when I only put 800. When I picked up the car. It was it was a piece of junk. They told me the day i signed that it was a trade in but will be clean. I returned it within the 72 hours and less than 150 miles and they told me that I can not get my money back. They said even the owner chase and clay Cooley themselves can not do anything to help. If this is how they do business, stay away. I was told this is the standard business practice. I also have video and recordings.

I bought a Wrangler from this dealership in 2025, it was a mostly good experience at the time, however during that process we were sold a $500 Ally policy that we were told would cover oil changes and tire rotations for the first 2 years or 24,000 miles, which sounded like a good opportunity and was pitched as such, so we went ahead and bought it. It was naive for me to think that. Upon further research down the line we have now found out that the first two oil changes & tire rotations are free anyways without the policy, which was not disclosed, to add insult to injury the policy only covers $75 dollars per service, which was also not disclosed (how would $75 ever cover an oil change & tire rotation today?). Overall disappointing and what comes off as deceitful tactics. When I reached out to ask about the policy this week I was told I would be reached back out to with more information, which I never was. This will not be a repeat dealership for me.

I had a very disappointing and unpleasant experience with Clay Cooley Irving.
I saw a new 2026 Grand Cherokee Limited Reserve listed on your website for $42,200 and submitted an online quote request. I was subsequently contacted by Richard.
I made an offer of $43,500 out the door, and Richard informed me that he had spoken with his manager and that they would see if they could make that price work.
Upon arriving at the dealership, I was presented with a significantly higher offer that included several discounts and was told that it was the best they could do. This offer was approximately $3,000 more than the maximum amount I had clearly stated I was willing to pay, so I decided to walk away.
I understand that a dealership may not always be able to honor a particular price due to internal circumstances. However, I believe this should be communicated upfront. I spent approximately three hours commuting to the dealership and obtaining a cashier’s check, only to discover that the proposed offer was not realistic.
Please review your pricing practices and sales procedures. Additionally, I would encourage management to address the poor attitude displayed by the sales manager while pressuring me to accept the higher quote.
Best regards,

My experience with Clay Cooley Jeep in Irving was the worst vehicle purchasing experience I've ever had.
Before visiting, I negotiated the price and completed the financing application. I explicitly told them I was moving and needed to turn in my moving truck the next morning. I wanted everything handled beforehand so I could show up, sign, and leave.
Instead, we sat there for over an hour before anything happened. Our salesperson didn't know where the vehicle was and couldn't find the keys. Once he located them, it had no fuel. When he finally brought it up, the check engine light was on. He ran inside for assistance, and they told us it was just because it was out of gas and would go off shortly.
After the test drive, we waited more. The finance manager refused to provide anything in writing regarding the check engine light, telling us we could "trust him" because everyone knew him. He spent much of the conversation complaining about working late.
When we reached the finance office two hours later, that rep also complained about being there late. She noted she had no idea why we waited so long because everything was ready when we arrived. She promised all loan and purchase paperwork would be emailed to me.
After signing, I was told to find someone to install the temporary plates. The showroom was empty except for one employee at the front desk playing a game on his phone. He never looked up, attempting to install the plates one-handed while still playing his game. My husband actually offered to hold the phone for him.
He handed me a single key. When I asked about the second one, he said I would have to come back another day because it was locked in a manager's room—completely ignoring that I don't live nearby. He then went inside, locked the door, and left us outside.
Then, the vehicle wouldn't start because the battery was dead. We had to knock on the windows to get his attention. We ultimately left the truck at the dealership and were told it would be fixed Monday.
The next day (Sunday), I decided I didn't want a broken "new" vehicle. I never took delivery, and Clay Cooley has a 3-day money-back guarantee anyway. Monday morning, I texted my salesperson to cancel. He asked how I paid the down payment (credit card), but when I requested written confirmation of the cancellation, he stopped responding. I also never received my original loan paperwork.
After hours of silence, I emailed the finance rep. She claimed the transaction was canceled but refused to provide written proof, telling me the pending credit card refund should be enough and to call the bank. I didn't even know who the bank was yet. After demanding the paperwork again, she finally sent it. I called the bank; they had no record of a cancellation.
I requested written confirmation from the finance rep again. Instead of providing it, she told me if I wasn't happy to contact the sales manager. I asked for his email to keep it in writing, but she ignored me.
I then texted the sales manager, Todd. He ignored me initially, then replied the next day citing a family emergency. At that point, I wanted to let it go, but I kept receiving emails requesting proof of insurance and a notice from SiriusXM that my trial was activated.
Concerned the cancellation hadn't actually been processed, I contacted Todd again. His exact response was: "stop texting me." I was never rude and only contacted them during business hours. I do everything in writing, so I have all the emails and texts to back this up.
I knew they had a bad reputation, but they beat a price in Houston. I took a chance hoping they could at least deliver a running vehicle quickly. Apparently not. Avoid Clay Cooley at all costs!
