  I am not pleased with this company, I will not be renting from SiXT again. First, the class of vehicle I had reserved a week in advance was not available at this location. They tried to give me a less expensive vehicle *at the same price* as the larger one I had reserved. This was an attempted bait-and-switch. Unacceptable. Furthermore, I was incorrectly charged for tolls, including a "fine" charged by the SiXT company itself. We added our rental car to our "EZPlate" account with the toll road authority---using the feature explicitly intended for rental cars---but apparently SiXT was charged anyway. I informed SiXT I was resolving the issue with HCTRA, but my credit card was charged automatically, without my consent. This is a borderline fraudulent charge, with just the thinnest veneer of plausible deniability and absolutely no attempt to correct the issue.

  ⭐☆☆☆☆ This location continues to disappoint me. I’m a loyal Sixt customer and booked and prepaid for a full-size car more than a week before my scheduled pickup. When I arrived, I was told they didn’t have the vehicle I reserved and that my only option was a pickup truck. I explained that I didn’t want a pickup truck because of the increased fuel costs and because I simply didn’t want to drive a large truck around Houston. I asked if I could just remain in the BMW SUV I had already been renting for nearly a month, especially since I was already in possession of it. I was told that wasn’t possible because it needed to be cleaned for the next rental. That explanation didn’t make sense, especially considering I had already been driving it for weeks and would have gladly waited or even cleaned it myself if that was the only issue. Instead, I was forced to leave in a vehicle I never wanted. The inconvenience didn’t end there—I had to drive all the way to the airport location just to exchange the pickup truck for a smaller vehicle that better matched what I originally reserved. I’ve rented with other companies, including Hertz, and when my reserved vehicle wasn’t available, they simply allowed me to keep my current vehicle rather than forcing me into something completely different. This isn’t my first negative experience with this Sixt location, and unfortunately it continues to show a lack of planning, poor customer service, and little consideration for customers who reserve and prepay for specific vehicle classes. If you’re going to accept reservations and payment in advance, you should either have the reserved vehicle available or provide a comparable alternative—not force customers into a vehicle they specifically did not want. Very disappointing experience.
