  I had been renting cars every month here for about a year and a half. The staff here are very much service minded. Today I accidentally left mobile phone in the car. All staff, especially Josh, were very helpful in tracing my phone and bringing it back to me. Josh even drove me to the airport terminal after we found the phone. I really appreciate the support and reliability of the service I've been receiving so far.

  -5 stars needed ✨ Rented a car at Houston International Airport with only 7700 miles on it. Drove to my hotel, got out of the car and noticed a burn smell. It seems that the oil cap on top of the engine was missing. I called for National to send a tow truck immediately and replace the car. National refused to bring me a car. Refused to send an Uber so I could go get another car until the tow truck driver arrived. The tow truck driver was rude, disrespectful and took four hours to get there. Fortunately, I did not wait on National and got another rental car on my own. In addition, National tried to say that I was responsible for the car that broke down even after I stopped driving it. I clarified with them that it was not the case and gave them the reasons why. National ruined this trip because it was a short turnaround and I spent half of the time dealing with not only a broken vehicle but a tow truck driver from hell. 🤬 I was also charged full price with no discount for this horrible experience. The corporate office at National needs to look closer at its policies and procedures and make changes immediately IMO.

  National Car Rental continues to exceed my expectations every time I travel for work. They always take such great care of me, and the entire process is seamless from start to finish. The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and genuinely committed to providing excellent customer service. I travel frequently for business, and it’s reassuring to know I can count on National for reliable vehicles, quick service, and a stress-free experience every time. Their professionalism and attention to detail make a busy travel schedule so much easier. Thank you to the entire team for always making my work trips a little smoother—I truly appreciate everything you do!

  I left my wallet in the car at drop off then got on the shuttle to the terminal! Luckily there was a number posted inside the shuttle bus, since I'm probably not the only dummy who's done something like that. I called the number, got a hold of Cindy, and she said she would go check ASAP for my wallet. It ended up taking me about 30 minutes to get off the first shuttle, then back on the next shuttle to take me to the rental car center, but when I got there, I was able to get my wallet back. Thanks Cindy for going the extra mile!

  Absolutely disappointing experience today with VERY rude employees. As an emerald elite member, I was very excited to show my family around Houston, but Marco who was checking us out, was very very rude and started our trip out on a very sour note. The car we got was damaged and dented, and when notified the people in the garage, they shortly told us to tell the people as we leave the garage gate. She was fairly rude, but I ignored it because there wasn't much she could do, but I definitely have received exemplary service at this location before, so I was a bit shocked. As I got the garage exit, the attendant Marco was horrendous. When I pointed out the damages, he seemed apathetic about it and I literally had to point it out several times to make sure this was written in my account so I wasn't charged for it. He did not care. Then, when my card wasn't working, he rudely shoved it back at me and said "it don't work" with no sense of customer service. There was no friendliness, and then when I asked if he noted the damages, he gave me an attitude about it?? And opened the gate without answering my question. He clearly did not want to be there, but seriously National? That's who you put in that spot, to begin people's trips? Ridiculous and embarrassing.
