We offer comprehensive engine machining services, including cylinder boring and honing, cylinder head and block resurfacing (milling), crankshaft grinding and polishing, valve jobs, and engine block line honing.
Do you assemble the whole engine, or just do the machine work?
We offer both options. We can perform individual machining services, or we can handle the entire process from disassembly through hot tanking, crack testing, and complete long-block assembly.
Can you custom-build high-performance or classic car engines?
Absolutely. We specialize in blueprinting and building engines for stock restorations as well as high-horsepower custom applications for race or street performance.
Should I buy the replacement parts, or will you source them?
We're happy to source high-quality OEM or aftermarket parts on your behalf. If you choose to supply your own components such as pistons, rings, or bearings, please bring them along with the block so we can machine and size everything precisely to match your parts.
How much does it cost to rebuild an engine?
Pricing varies significantly based on the extent of damage, the parts needed, and your specific engine type. We need to fully clean, disassemble, and inspect all components before we can provide you with an accurate estimate.
How long does the machining and rebuilding process take?
Cleaning and inspection typically takes 1-2 days. For a full engine rebuild, you can expect a turnaround time of 1 to 3 weeks, depending on our current schedule and the availability of any specialty parts required.
What is a "core" and how does it work?
A core refers to your original, rebuildable engine component. When you buy a remanufactured part or engine, a core charge is applied to the purchase price. You'll receive this charge back once you return your old, rebuildable part to us.
How should I prepare my engine before bringing it to the shop?
Make sure the engine is completely drained of all fluids, including oil and coolant. We also recommend removing external components such as the intake manifold, alternator, and starter to reduce weight and prevent damage during transportation.
