If I could give negative stars, I would. This wasn’t my first time coming to this location, but it will definitely be my last time bringing any of my vehicles here. While I was waiting in the lobby, an employee called me into the shop area to show me on their computer what my truck supposedly needed and try to up sell on things that are not related to an inspection. Another employee then handed me the inspection report showing that my truck had failed. When I reviewed the report, I noticed that the OBD system had failed. I explained that my truck has a kill switch that prevents the OBD system from connecting to a computer, and that this could have been the reason for the failed reading. I told them I could disable the kill switch and asked if they could reconnect the computer to verify whether that was the issue. The employee seemed visibly bothered and annoyed by my request. I disabled the kill switch so they could reconnect their equipment. At this point, I was standing outside watching the employee work on my truck. When he opened the driver's door, I personally watched him hit the door against a metal shelf positioned next to my vehicle. Once they pulled my truck out of the bay, I immediately inspected the door. Sure enough, the paint was chipped exactly where I had seen the door hit the metal shelf. I immediately brought the damage to their attention and asked how they planned to resolve it. Instead of taking responsibility and offering a reasonable solution, I felt like I was given the runaround. I brought my vehicle here for an inspection and expected it to be treated with reasonable care. I should not have to leave an inspection facility with damage to my vehicle that occurred while it was in their possession. I hope the owner or management of this location sees this review, reviews what happened, and reaches out to me directly with a reasonable resolution regarding the damage to my truck. I would be more than willing to update this review if management takes responsibility and handles the situation appropriately.

I debated on writing this review, but decided that it may be a good learning opportunity for the owner and the people who work there as it was a learning experience for me. The new owner informed me that my car failed the emissions test because my OBD plug could not be found . He showed me where it should be and opened the fuse box and showed me his end of the apparatus that gets plugged in …in order to do diagnostic tests . My car is a 2015 Kia Optima EX so an older car. However, I have been getting this test done at this location for years and had no issues including ONE year ago. I asked how can they have done a test last year …when like he said I didn’t have an OBD plug. (Nothing else had been done to my car during that year.) He said, he’s not accusing anyone, but maybe they tested another car and that’s how I got my paperwork so I could get my tags. I said none of this makes sense to me and I got upset. I didn’t yell and I didn’t cuss, but I kept asking over and over again how could I have gotten years of test reports. How can this be true? It makes no logical sense to me at all. In my head, I started thinking now what I have to get 100s of dollars worth of work done what’s going on here? As a retired teacher with a limited budget , I just don’t have the funds to have this pop up when it just seemed highly unlikely for me. I had no idea what an OBD plug should look like for my car so after I pulled away , I looked online and found a picture of it, and saw that I actually DID have an OBD plug , however , it was in placed in backwards, and the wires were coming out front of the piece . The actual place that you plug it in was back behind it . It was in the exact location that it was supposed to be, it was the exact same shape of it and it only took me a moment to see that it was in backwards. With a little bit of effort, with five people at the establishment, someone should’ve been able to figure this out. As an owner of such an establishment, recognizing the part, even though someone installed it in backwards in the correct location, it should’ve been something that could’ve been recognized. As an older car, all I can guess is that the brackets were broken, and that was the only way they could put it back in without it rattling around. I ended up pushing the tabs on either side of the OBD and pushing it back through and letting it hang where I could see the front of it where easily the 16 point plug could’ve been plugged into. The part was easy to see it wasn’t back far or anything like that it was just placed in their backwards. As a 64 year old female figuring it out in less than a moment after I saw what the actual part looked like ….surely the owner or others could have figured it out . With a little bit of time, and effort and seeing my paperwork that it has been done for over 10 years including last year ….that someone would’ve figured that out besides myself. I went to Cherry Park automotive and asked them to do my inspection. I told them that my OBD plug was not in its bracket and was hanging there and they said no problem and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes AND I didn’t get a laundry list of things that I should get changed like I did at Jiffy Lube . I posted pictures including the passing of the emissions test and my OBD plug before I released it and after. So Mr. Owner , I learned what an OBD plug looks like today, and I hope you take this as a learning experience as well seeing what the back of an OBD might look like .Plus maybe taking the customer’s word that something is amiss and it should be right there . I was able to post some pictures, however, there’s some duplicates cause I don’t know what happened and I couldn’t take them off without deleting the whole post. I didn’t give a low rating because I feel like this is a learning opportunity for myself and the people who work there. Also, the super tall gentleman was very kind and professional.
