  We recently leased a 2026 EX90. 10 days after receiving the vehicle, the AC compressor failed. We were told that the replacement part was not available and that it could be some time before it arrived and thus the repair being completed. When it was around 20 days later, I contacted Grubbs management to see what could be done about getting us an electric loaner or if they could rush the part or something to get it repaired more quickly. They took it upon themselves to write me a check for the first month lease payment. In my lifetime of purchasing almost 100 brand new cars, I've never had a brand or a dealer go this far to make a customer happy. I actually would like to meet the Grubbs family at some point to better understand their integrity and viewpoint.

  Wonderful experience at Grubbs Volvo. We purchased a new vehicle and the staff there was very friendly and professional. Simon was my direct contact and he made my wife and I feel comfortable and confident that we were buying an outstanding automobile in the new Volvo XC60.He walked us through the purchase process and information about the electronics of the new Volvo. I highly recommend doing business with Grubbs Volvo and Simon Saba.

  Don’t buy from these people. They will stick a $2,500 fee on your sales price after you work out the deal and tell you it’s for “ concierge service” to Include free oil change, car loaner, etc, however, the first time you take your car in they will not honor it, total backdoor profit motive of this place. If your going to buy a luxury car the service is good here but the sales department can’t be trusted

  The Grubbs Certified Pre-Owned(CPO) Volvo experience. A cautionary tale: 4 months ago I came across a listing for a CPO V60CC at Grubbs Volvo of Central Houston, and gave them a call expressing interest in the vehicle. The sales representative sent me more images of the car, assured me it had never been smoked in, and that it would be held for me to come and see it the following week. Why? I needed to make travel arrangements- including buying a plane ticket from Atlanta. I would never consider buying a plane ticket and crossing multiple state lines for an uncertified or smoked-in vehicle. The next week I flew to Houston, stayed overnight, went to the dealership where the car was parked outside in a thunderstorm on a cool day, then drove it all the way back to Atlanta that night. When the constant rains stopped 2 days later, I had a chance to clean the outside of the car. I started finding issues that I never would have expected a CPO Volvo to have (more details below). My shock compounded further- after sitting in the hot sun for an entire day later that week- I opened the door and was met with an unmistakable odor of cigarettes, because yes, this Certified Volvo was smoked in despite being promised it wasn't. I consulted my local GA dealership and was met with strong emotions that these issues were unacceptable, and the car should have not been certified with all the issues it has. Now knowing something was amiss I reached out to Grubbs and was put in touch with management. I sent details of the interior/exterior issues I’d found on the car, and inquired as to the status of the title/registration of the vehicle. At time of writing (4 months later) my second temp tag is about to expire, and I anticipate needing a third because the title still is not sorted and my registration is still not finalized? 4 months later, Grubbs Volvo has not adequately or recently responded to communications about all the issues present. The car has been to my local dealership several times already for various fixes. Communications with corporate resulted in strong apologies at the stressful customer experience I have had and the state of the vehicle. However they have not helped actually solve any of the issues I am currently having. Here is what Volvo promises: “Each Certified by Volvo vehicle passes a rigorous 170+ point inspection, has less than 80,000 miles, and receives a detailed CARFAX Vehicle History Report. We repair or replace any necessary components, carefully checking the exterior and powertrain, and even conduct a road test. When you choose a Certified by Volvo vehicle, you can be confident that your car has undergone a comprehensive inspection.” Now with context, I pose 5 questions: Should a Certificated Pre-Owned Volvo have poorly repaired paint damage (in this case on the top of its hood), and bare, sharp, twisted metal damage underneath it? (Images 1/2/3) Should a CPO Volvo have significant damage to one of its tire rims, with minor damage to a second? (Image 4) Should a CPO Volvo have been smoked in without it being disclosed, especially when this was stated as a deal breaker in the first phone call? Should a new Volvo customer endure 4 months of stress, frustration, and have an emotional breakdown at their local dealership at the tribulations of their Certified Pre-Owned Volvo experience? And finally, should a new customer be paying to fix a car that does not meet the certification it was sold with because the corporate dealership that certified and sold it leaves any and all communications unanswered? The color of my car matches my feelings on the above items. I cannot, in any measure, recommend purchasing a car from this dealership. This was my first car buying experience. Don't buy a Certified car from Grubbs, there is a chance that it's not actually Certified. If you can avoid Grubbs altogether, you are more likely to find people who will make sure to provide quality service after the sale. My local dealer is proof of this. Take your business elsewhere.
