  I highly recommend Sam at Five Star Diesel. I accidentally put DEF in my diesel tank and ended up with a contaminated fuel system. I took the truck to another shop first, and they claimed they drained it, but the truck still wasn’t right. Sam actually took the time to diagnose the problem correctly and fix it the way it needed to be fixed. He worked with my insurance, replaced the entire fuel system, kept me updated, and backed his work with a warranty. The biggest thing for me is that he didn’t cut corners or try to put a Band-Aid on the problem. He did the job right. After already dealing with one shop that didn’t get it fixed, that meant a lot. If you have a diesel and want somebody who knows what they’re doing and stands behind their work, go see Sam at Five Star Diesel. I’d absolutely use him again.

  Five Star Diesel and Auto Repair is the best auto repair shop in Houston, hands down!!! I want to explain the reason I came up with this review. I have a 2001 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson Edition truck and the head had to be replaced, but I did not trust just anyone to do the repair. Sam worked on a company vehicle that I drove. Me and Sam discussed the situation with my truck as I waited to do repairs on the company truck. I seen that the work he did on the company truck was always done for long term and I liked that. Sam actually went to my house to pick up my truck due to it was not drivable and had been sitting for five years. Sam assured me he will do what is necessary to fix it right. I started with just the head and Sam told me " I see you love this truck"! He suggested, "would you like this done for long term I can give you a price". The price was more than fair for the work that was to be done. We ended up changing all the top of the engine, heads, intake, timing chain, plugs, coils, pulleys, A/C system, front end, A-arms, ball joints, tie rod ends, sway bar, transmission filter & fluid(not just a flush like some mechanics), rear axle fluid replaced with gasket, fuel tank drop, flush & change out fuel pump and wheel alignment. This is how much I loved his work and trusted him with my truck. Sam told me, just so you don't think I did not do the work, do you want the parts that were replaced? I actually looked at all the parts and could not believe how bad they were until I seen them. My truck is 25 years new!!! Thanks to Sam and his great mechanics! So, if you want a mechanic you can trust for the life of your car, call Sam. You will not regret it. Thank you Sam and crew, my mechanics for life!!!

  Five Star Diesel and Auto Repair are the best in Houston, hands down. Sam and his team are trustworthy with outstanding service. You definitely get treated like Five Star. Too bad I can't give more than 5 stars because they deserve more than that. Sam goes above and beyond from start to finish, not to mention very professional. I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else.

  Absolutely amazing service. I took my 2017 Ram Ecodiesel in for some oil leaks. The price was reasonable and came out cheaper than they quoted. Kept in contact with me during the process, offered me a Uber home. Sam was a straight shooter and not looking to rob anyone. Highly recommend them they went above and beyond my expectations.

  Five star was the shop got me going when no shop did on my 2015 ram 3500 with a performance problem I had Sam the owner was on top of everything and gave me a deal new turbo vgt and electrical short and a full pm 10 stars ⭐️
