Rented a car in Houston, Texas. Woke up the next day to a flat tire. Contacted the closest enterprise which was 0.3 miles away. Terrible customer service kept placing me on hold after 10 minutes intervals. I would hang up and call back. Hang up and call back until I finally got someone on the phone. I explained to them that I had a flat tire. They said that they did not have a car to accommodate me and that they were very busy my only other option would be to carry the car to NTB so that they can fix their. I had to get someone to put the spare tire on so that I can make it 15 minutes away to NTB. Well at NTB they informed me that they had to put a brand new tire on the car and that they had gotten an approval from enterprise to move forward with the process. An hour later, I had to locate a second and NTB because the tire pressure was low. When I received my final bill, they had charged me for the new tire. I explained that I was not gonna pay for the new tire and how inconvenience I have been with this rental car. Camry, the young lady that checked the car in and assisted me was very helpful because of her kindness and her removing the charge for the Tire. This is the only reason that enterprise will be receiving four stars for me otherwise it would have been a one star.

My driver's license was stolen and I got a temporary license while my new one was one the way.
I called ahead and a asked if they would accept the temporary license along with my passport as valid ID and they said 'yes.' After that, I went ahead and made a reservation.
When I got there, the guy at the counter said that he couldn't take my temporary license. I asked for a manager, and it took more than 45 minutes for her to arrive.
I explained everything, showed her my temp license and even the receipt for it. I explained that I called ahead and verified that it would be accepted.
She just told me that she wouldn't accept it with no explanation as why and that the people who answer their phones "are a 3rd party and do not actually represent them." Eventually, after pleading my case for about 20 minutes, I gave up.
Do not rent from them. They will tell you one thing on the phone, but completely contradict it in person. Very unprofessional.

I rented a vehicle from Enterprise at the Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport location. The process of receiving the rental was smooth and easy, but unfortunately my experience after returning the vehicle was very disappointing.
After returning the rental, we realized within about 30 minutes that we accidentally left a tote bag inside the vehicle. The bag contained souvenirs we purchased during our trip to Houston, including shirts, other keepsakes, and some snacks. As soon as we noticed it was missing, we immediately returned to the Enterprise location while also contacting customer service. Customer service explained that lost items are typically held for a period of time, so we were hopeful that since it had only been about 30 minutes, we would be able to recover our belongings.
When we arrived back at Enterprise, we explained the situation to the front desk and asked if we could simply check the area where we had just dropped the vehicle off to see if it was still there. The employee informed us that there was nothing they could do because the airport location has its own Lost and Found process, and we needed to submit a claim online.
After completing the form, I decided to go back to the parking garage myself and speak with an employee who was assisting customers with vehicles. He was much more helpful and walked me over to the return area. He explained that because their turnaround process moves so quickly, the vehicle was likely already sent to another area for servicing and cleaning. He also explained more about the Lost and Found process.
A few days later, I received a message from someone in Lost and Found stating they located a tote bag. However, the items shown inside the bag were not the items we described and did not match what we left behind. I explained again what was inside our bag, but I was told those were the only items found. I understand the snacks may not have been returned due to the Houston heat, and that was not our main concern. We were mainly hoping to recover our souvenirs and shirts that had personal value from our trip.
Overall, I feel the Lost and Found process needs improvement. With multiple departments and people handling lost items, there seems to be too much room for belongings to get misplaced. I understand customers are responsible for checking their vehicles before leaving, but accidents happen — especially when people are traveling, rushing for flights, and handling luggage.
I think Enterprise should consider having employees complete a quick interior check of vehicles immediately during the return process before moving them for cleaning or service. If the vehicle had been checked when we returned it, this situation likely could have been avoided.
The rental pickup and return process was fast and convenient, but the experience of trying to recover lost belongings was extremely frustrating and disappointing. A better system would help protect customers’ belongings and improve the overall experience.

Our order was messed up from the beginning and it took a long time to fix. When we went to pick a car one of the available car’s tires were bald. Definite safety hazard. Before I returned the car I could not figure out how to open the gas tank and refill the car. I looked everywhere, even on the internet but could not do it. When we got there to return the car they showed me where the release was and apparently the white paint had been rubbed off that would have made the lever visible or they ordered it so you couldn’t find it. I complained and they immediately knocked the price down to what it should have been if I was able to fill it up myself. It seemed like this is a common problem. Very shady. On the positive side- the actual on the ground people were very nice.

I watched the game in Mexico and landed back in Houston and upon return I rented an Enterprise car in 6/20 at 10:30 pm. I dropped off a car this 6/21 early next morning at 8am. The store did not check it out as completed. I placed the keys in the Dropbox outside the store and parked the car in the back parking lot. I called the store at noon and the manager cannot find the keys and the car is gone. I asked him who took the keys out the Dropbox and a lady said her and the manager. I asked where are the keys. They don’t know where the keys or car has gone. I had a friend pick me up form that location and saw me park the car so I have a witness. The manager said he would look at the cameras to see me drop off the keys. He did not look at the cameras. I asked him why he does not write down a record of the keys taken out the Dropbox. He then told me I was going to have to leave. I said I’m calling the police because someone from the store has the car. He then looked online and said the car keys were scanned in at 8:36, when they were closed at this location, and Houston has to close it out. So where is the car and keys, the manager said he does not know. I asked him to track the car, the manager told me there is no GPS on the cars!!! Do NOT use the Dropbox or Enterprise! Document everything, take pictures of vehicle, your actions and document what the employees do. I paid more for Enterprise to not have headaches and they let the keys and car.
