Thank you Alonzo for being so professional, knowledgeable and patient with us despite working in the hot Houston weather! My car battery died and had corrosion all over the battery terminals. Alonzo took the time to remove, clean, install the new battery and protectors meticulously while explaining the process. I highly recommend this location as other staff members are also attentive to our needs. Autozone, please provide covered parking or some sort so your hard working staff don't have to suffer in the heat. The customer would also really appreciate it as we tend to help along side them. Thanks for all you do!

Don’t come here if you expect reliable parts or respectful service. I was sold a defective starter that left me stranded, and was then spoken to in a condescending manner by grown men still working in retail who clearly lack understanding of basic automotive systems or how starters work. I came here on 5/5/2026 around 4:30 pm because they sold me a defective starter that left me stranded in a high traffic area. I didnt even care about the money I just wanted a working part, as money is not an issue for me. One guy gave several excuses why they couldn't exchange it & then took it for a bench test to see if it was defective. After fumbling around & getting several error messages because he set it up wrong, he claimed it passed the test & was functioning (which doesnt even matter because several stories online have people saying it can pass a bench test but fail in the "real world" in real conditions). I was just ready to buy the starter I needed outright, but my 87 year old dad with 7 decades of mechanic experience explained that the starter has to be defective because he "tapped it to get it working" which means it has to be the starter. A semi-tall white guy with pulled back hair (manager I assume) jumped in and laughed at my 87 year old dad and said "Well youre not supposed to hit it". Which is funny because thats exactly what you're supposed to do to start a defective starter. The fact he was so confident with so little knowledge is astounding. My dad is hard of hearing and didnt hear him, or else I would have had some choice words for him. Youre a grown man still working retail, lets tone down the condescending attitude. Anyway, at this point after being treated like this I was not going to spend a penny here. I took my defective starter & went down the road to O'Reilly and bought a new quality starter happily. My car is now working, which means the starter Autozone sold me was defective and both your workers were incorrect, funny how that works. I will happily spend my money at Oreilly. Perhaps some training on how to use your own testing machines, how starters work & how to speak to other grown adults is very much needed.
