Everything seemed similar to other rental agencies until I met Esperanza in the Houston Airport rental car drop-off location. Everything was smooth and easy and I was off. I got close to 100 yards away from the Traverse I rented, and 10 ft. away from the escalator down to the shuttles back to the airport, when I hear someone yelling, “Sir, sir, sir …your phone, your phone” at the top of their lungs. Almost reflexively I check for my phone as I turn around to see the silhouette of a small woman with her upraised hand running towards me. At first I felt like an idiot as everyone was looking as I did the walk of shame back towards Esperanza. Then as I got closer I said, “How many time does this happen everyday?” She said, you wouldn’t be the first.” Gracious reply on her part. I asked her, “What’s your name?” She told me her first name to which I replied, “When I get a chance you are getting a huge shoutout to Alamo. She smiled, sad thank you and went back to her job. You have an outstanding employee in Esperanza. I hope she can be recognized for this kind of behavior which we all wish were the norm but know is not. While I know this almost completely about Esperanza, it has impacted how I feel about your company and all but guaranteed I will look at Alamo first the next time I need to rent a car. I felt it was important to show the same type of character Esperanza showed earlier this week when I dropped my car off around noon on July 6th. Neither of us had to do what we did, like make the effort to return a phone or write a long note on an automated experience evaluation, but we did what we did because it was the right thing to do! I hope you can at least tell Esperanza thanks from me, let her read this review and reward her in whatever way y’all do stuff like that! I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for Esperanza and the chance to tell this story. You probably already know this, but the word/name Esperanza translates to Hope in English. I find it encouraging that this interaction happened with a person named Hope. She embodied that sentiment that day by helping me to Hope, and even believe, there were others out there like Esperanza. Someone who goes the extra mile because it’s the right thing to do! This will be the most memorable part of July 4th and the 250th celebration of our countries founding.

I had a great experience with Alamo. The rental process was quick, easy, and everything went smoothly from start to finish.
A special thank you to Christopher from Interprise for his excellent customer service. He was friendly, professional, and took the time to answer all my questions. He made the whole process simple and stress-free. It’s always nice to meet someone who truly cares about helping customers.
I would definitely rent from Alamo again and hope to work with Christopher in the future. Highly recommended!

I wanted to write this review regarding our recent rental experience that we had when we picked up our rental car from National on June 17th , 2026, at George Bush Airport. My husband and I were very impressed with the employee that we first encountered at the check-in desk. I'm sorry we don't remember his name (although there is an employee number on the paperwork we received). I wasn't sure if I should include it in this email due to confidentiality.
When we checked in the person that greeted us was very pleasant and cheerful and he took the time to explain the rental process to include informing us that our rental car was equipped with a program that kept track of the toll charges and that we would be receiving a separate bill for those charges. That is something that other car rental agencies that we have dealt with in the past at other airports failed to tell us. We questioned him again about this for clarity, and he did not make us feel as though we were bothering him asking silly questions. He was patient with us, and we appreciated the great customer service that he provided. We did meet the Station Manager and informed him of what a nice experience we had during check-in, so I hope he remembered his name. Our experience we had with the Station Manager Ty Sealy when we came to pick up our car was also top notch. When we asked to speak with the manager so we could provide feedback regarding the employee that checked us in, without knowing if we were going to "complain" or provide positive feedback, Ty was immediately receptive to hearing what we had to say. We appreciate that he also was very professional and friendly. We have traveled quite a bit in the last few years and have not received this level of excellent customer service that Ty provided when it came to us, picking our car out. Thank you for the upgrade when I asked you about upgrading our rental. We greatly appreciate it and for your pleasant and professional demeanor. When we had questions about the car we picked you also were very patient, we never felt rushed or like we were bothering you. Thank you for that!
When we got to the exit booth, Tameka Johnsonn was checking us out and I was having trouble trying to connect my cell phone to the map via Bluetooth before exiting. After Tameka completed our check out paperwork, she actually came over to my side of the car and took time with me to show me how to connect my cell phone. She was very pleasant and professional and didn't make me feel like I was bothering her with all my questions (she was very patient with me). What a refreshing experience, not to feel like I was a bother to her and I didn't feel rushed!
We have never received this level of customer service anywhere else when we had questions at other car rental exit booths. Thank you all for your warmth and kindness and for making our car rental experience so pleasant and for your professionalism. We are now committed to renting only from "National" in the future. What a wonderful team you have National! Thank you all for going above and beyond and making our car rental experience the best we have ever experienced.

I rented a mid-size car with Alamo at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, and landed at 11:15 am. The queue of customers was very long. I and several customers in the queue tried to use the posted QR code to bypass having to go to the counter and nobody was successfully. I waited close to an hour for my turn because only two out of three Alamo counters were staffed. The queue was long because the Alamo counters were also servicing customers who rented from National (next door), and all the National counters were close. Thus, Alamo and National had only two counters servicing all their arriving customers at the middle of the day! I will avoid renting from these two companies in the future.

Flew into Houston and had a car at Alamo waiting. Super fast at the counter very friendly and helpful. Went to the pickup area and I had my choice of car within the type I asked for, again very helpful no rush. Car was clean beyond what I would have expected. After the days of use returned the car. I didn't have to wait in line and a very friendly attendant was there asked first if everything was alright. Checked me in and directed me to an ontime shuttle.
