  Gordo (he changed my oil) was great and super kind! He’s really knowledgeable and was able to catch some issues with my car that the dealership had overlooked. He took the time to explain everything to me and made sure I understood what was going on. You can tell he actually knows his stuff and cares about doing the job right. I appreciate Mayfield AutoRepair! 10/10 would recommend. Odell the manager was super nice as well.

  I hate to leave a two-star review for a mechanic shop, but I definitely feel that I was overcharged for replacing a brake light switch. My brake lights stopped working, and this was the closest shop to where I work. Since I didn’t want to drive all the way to my regular mechanic without working brake lights, this place was my best option. It took them less than an hour to diagnose the issue and fix it, which is why I’m giving two stars instead of one. However, the price was WAY too high for this type of repair. The part itself costs around $20–$40 max, and my regular mechanic would have done the entire job for around $110. This shop charged me about FOUR TIMES that amount. I checked typical prices online afterward, and as I suspected, this repair should have cost at least three times less than what I was charged. Unfortunately, I was in a situation where I didn’t have many other options because I couldn’t safely drive around without brake lights. Based on this experience, I personally wouldn’t come here for any major repairs. **Update: I appreciate the response trying to make it right but I wish you guys would have been fair with the cost from the start. I will contact you soon. As far as the cost, even if I keep the diagnostic part that was around $60. You guys still charged me over $200 (I forgot the exact number) for the labor that took you less than an hour and upsell the part that cost you around $15 (see attached photo). Even if we go to the highest oem part and most professional mechanic, this job should have ended up with no more than $275 total, tax included. I paid $425 with tax for your job. Wayyyy over what it should normally cost. For a simple job and such as that, and a cheap part, warranty is not really what I am worried about. This is not an engine or transmission job that needs warranty, so I took it out of the equation. You are welcome to look up the numbers in the attached photo for that type of job.

  I had a great experience with this auto repair shop! They were professional, helpful, and were able to identify and solve the problem with my car. I really appreciate their service and making the whole process easy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy repair shop!

  So I brought my car here to get a engine diagnosis I was told that the price was 1899 and I reiterated it so about $19 before they took my car keys. I confirmed the price the next day I get there to pick up my car remind you they did not figure out what was wrong with my car. I'm pretty sure my car sat there all night because I drove by three times and the last 24 hours and my car was been in the same spot. They didn't figure out the issue to my car and tried to charge me a whole hundred dollars and then want to blame the accent so I told them you have three cameras in your lobby pull up the cameras and if it has volume turn up the volume, and you will hear me say the price before I gave them my car keys, and one of their workers confirmed the price if you guys go here be careful with your car and your money cause they like to have sneak charges as well as the problem that I brought my car in for now I get my car back the next day and it's a full different problem. I really want to say my car was tampered with. Now yall giving more money to another mechanic. You guys can't be trusted ! Reply to owner comment: that's a LIE as I told you pull up ur cameras and you'll hear me say "so $19" and ur technician said YES, I've told you I've been to one other mechanic for that specific issue and he didn't find any codes. I was never mad and refused to pay. I was shocked at the price that I was told differently 24 hours in advance, but I'm glad that you guys are publicly lying about your services. You guys never once told me the findings or the potential repair cost, but I love how you tried to say that I was upset and refuse to pay and I had a witness with me that whole time and you were being recorded that time so if you would like for me to play the recording, I will Even the last mechanic that touched the car can confirm that my car has been tampered with from when I left y'all shop. You can stay in behind a shop, but you cannot stand behind the house. The situation was handled, but I did walk out without paying anything because if you're gonna tell me a price the day before then don't try to change it the next day and then not tell me anything about my car you guys were just gonna take my money and not say anything about the car. I wouldn't recommend the shop to anybody and I will say for anybody to follow my socials because there's a whole in depth story as well as the conversation I had with the owner when I picked up my car will be displayed as well so that way you guys can see that I wasn't lying and I will interview my last Mechanic as well who touched my car before and after I went to the specific shop.
