I've lived in Granbury for over 10 years now and these are the only people that I take my jet skis to. They are extremely honest and very easy to work with

One of the only places near by willing to work on my bike, and they did it in a reasonable amount of time. He had the bike for an hour with a crank no start and he had it diagnosed with parts options. When I picked it up he was very helpful! I’ll be back with my boat

I had just bought a 1995 seadoo gts and was told that it only needed a battery but other than that it was lake ready. So a couple of days later I took it to the lake and it started b4 I put it in the water so I backed the jet ski into the water and tried to start it for 30 min and nothing. I forgot to mention that I bought a brand new battery. I wore out the charge trying to get it to start. I was highly disappointed. I had went to check the compression and both sides were under a hundred. I spent a lot of money buying this jet ski and I told the guy that I bought it from that I did not want to buy a project and indeed that is what I bought. So I checked around and even though southern Powersports was further away from me than a couple of other places I liked the answers that I received from dewayne. When I tell you that this guy knows what he is doing that would be an understatement. He is absolutely the best in my opinion. He rebuilt the motor and this ski starts up every time on the first start. I took it to the lake that same day and it preformed better than I could have ever expected. I would recommend this guy to anyone that has a jet ski or motorcycle or ATV. Thank you again for your hard work and dedication.

Frequently Asked Questions About Southern powersports
When should you schedule watercraft winterization in North Texas?
Schedule winterization before temperatures consistently drop below 50°F, typically late October through November in the Granbury area. Winterization protects fuel systems, engines, and internal components from freeze damage during storage. Early scheduling prevents last-minute delays when demand increases as lake season ends.
What does a complete ATV engine rebuild involve?
Technicians inspect internal engine components for wear, damage, and performance degradation during rebuilds. The process addresses pistons, rings, valves, bearings, and gaskets to restore horsepower and reliability. Rebuilds extend vehicle life significantly compared to replacement costs for most powersports models.
How do diagnostics reduce unnecessary repair costs for motorcycles?
Advanced diagnostics identify the actual source of electrical, fuel system, or ignition problems before parts get replaced unnecessarily. Accurate testing isolates failing components from symptoms that mimic multiple issues. This prevents trial-and-error repairs that waste money on parts that weren't causing the problem.
Why does brake performance matter more for off-road ATVs than street vehicles?
Trail riding involves rapid speed changes, steep descents, and loose terrain that demands precise braking control. Worn pads or low fluid create stopping delays that become dangerous on hills or technical sections. Off-road conditions expose brake weaknesses faster than pavement because of mud, water, and sustained use.
What causes electrical failures in stored watercraft?
Battery discharge during storage, corroded wiring from moisture exposure, and failing voltage regulators cause most electrical problems in watercraft. Charging systems deteriorate when batteries sit unused for months without maintenance. Proper winterization includes battery disconnection and terminal protection to prevent these failures.
How often do ATVs need oil changes with recreational use?
Oil change intervals depend on riding conditions, manufacturer specs, and whether you ride trails, mud, or dust frequently. Harsh conditions like deep mud or fine dust contaminate oil faster than casual trail riding. Most recreational riders benefit from changes every 20-30 hours of operation or annually before riding season.
What's included in motorcycle tune-up services?
Tune-ups include spark plug inspection or replacement, fluid level checks, air filter cleaning, and throttle response adjustments. Technicians also inspect fuel delivery, ignition timing, and battery charge levels. These services catch small issues before they affect performance or cause breakdowns during rides.
