Since it was extremely hot outside, we decided to grab a couple of fountain drinks while we were there. I got my usual large Coke, and my daughter chose a Frozen Dr Pepper. I've learned from experience to take a sip before leaving the fountain area because sometimes drinks can be off. However, I never thought I would need to do that at QT given the quality and reputation of the brands they carry. Unfortunately, I was wrong. Once we started drinking them, we realized something wasn't right. The Frozen Dr Pepper tasted almost entirely like syrup, and my Coke was watery and tasted more like Diet Coke than regular Coke. We had already left, so we went home and simply set the drinks aside. Later that day, I had to run an errand and decided to take the drinks back to the store, not because of the money involved, but because I wanted to bring the issue to their attention. If the machines weren't dispensing properly, other customers were likely having the same experience. When I arrived, the cashier was busy, so I approached a gentleman working behind the counter between the kitchen and the register. I stood politely and waited for him to acknowledge me. After a few minutes, he finally did, but his attitude immediately gave me the impression that he didn't want to be bothered. I had to ask more than once if I could speak with him, and eventually I had to raise my voice slightly and ask him to come closer, so I didn't have to continue speaking across the counter. Once I explained the issue with the drinks, I suggested that someone check the fountain machines, as there appeared to be a problem with the syrup mixture or calibration. I wanted to make them aware of the issue so other customers wouldn't have the same experience. His response was simply, "I apologize, and I'll look into it." That was the end of the conversation. He didn't inspect the drinks, offer to check the machine, replace the beverages, provide a refund, or even offer a courtesy drink. I ended up leaving the drinks on the counter and walking out. To be clear, this is not about $4. I couldn't care less about the cost of the drinks. This is about customer service and how concerns are handled when a customer takes the time to report a problem. A simple "Let's take a look," "Can I replace those for you?" or "Thank you for letting us know" would have gone a long way. Instead, I left feeling like I was an inconvenience rather than a customer trying to help them identify an issue that could affect others. Hopefully management takes customer feedback more seriously than what I experienced during this visit
