Disappointing experience with Safelite Frisco We initially scheduled Safelite to replace our windshield of our BMW iX. The technician arrived with the replacement glass, but it had a minor scratch on it. To his credit, he advised us not to use the damaged glass and told us someone would contact us within 24 hours to reschedule. Unfortunately, nobody contacted us for two days, so I had to call to find out what was happening. They eventually rescheduled us for the same day, but then nobody showed up and we received no call or update. I had to call again, and getting through to an actual customer service representative was a frustrating process because of the automated/AI system. I was eventually told that the local Safelite shop would contact me by the next business day. I called on Friday, and despite the local shop being open Saturday, I still received no call. I then had to wait until Monday and call again, repeatedly pushing for someone from the local shop to actually contact me. At that point, the earliest appointment they could offer was the following Thursday. What should have been a straightforward windshield replacement had turned into nearly a two-week ordeal, with us having to make repeated calls just to get basic communication. Ultimately, we found another local shop that was able to take care of the windshield, and we canceled the Safelite appointment. Even to cancel, I had to call twice because after calling once the appointment wasn’t cancelled and I kept revived reminder messages. A company like Safelite should make it much easier to reach a real person and should be proactive about communicating when appointments or replacement glass issues arise. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not use Safelite Frisco again.

I went to the Frisco location to get a windshield replaced on a 2025 GLC. I waited there, and it took a little under 2 hours. The technicians were nice and courteous, came a few times to let me know the status. They did everything they could to save my toll tag and other tags. Would highly recommend.

I broke the window put of my liftgate. I arrived on time for my replacement and they refused to do the work because there was a tiny indentation in the frame where the window sits. Literally, 99.6% of the frame was unscathed and a very minor indentation. In the middle of an 18 inch section of frame. Admittedly, I know nothing about windows or their repair, however, it seemed logical to put something like putty or silicone in the indentation to bridge the “gap”. I can’t stress enough how small the indentation was. I tried taking a picture of it and it wouldn’t show up in the picture and it was barely discernible to the naked eye. They refused to do the work and refused to sell me the glass so I could get it installed elsewhere. I made one phone call to a non-affiliated auto glass repair place and they immediately agreed to fix it without any hassle. So, Safelite has lost my business for a lifetime. Because they wouldn’t think outside the box. The price for repair was very acceptable. But going to a body shop to get that indentation fixed would’ve added thousands$ (unnecessarily) to the cost.

Safelite gives you a feeling of customer service by providing a customer service phone number after you repair. But it's not really a customer care line since when you call it it actually just tells you to go online. That's not customer service that's just a pointer to a website. I also tried to call the local numbers for Safelite in my area and those phone numbers also direct you to go online. If you think you might want to talk to someone at some point, don't choose Safelite. The issue for me, I had a windshield installed this week and a family member met them to provide keys and pay the bill. Unfortunately they did not realize the brand new windshield had a crack in it and now we are dealing with a warranty claim versus having a new one installed before payment. Terrible experience.

I scheduled an at home windshield replacement and calibration. The technician arrived on time, which I appreciated. However, the amount of communication leading up to the appointment was excessive multiple text messages, phone calls, and emails all confirming the same appointment. Upon arrival, the technician immediately stated that he might not be able to complete the calibration, even before starting the work. The windshield replacement itself was completed satisfactorily, but unfortunately, the calibration was not done. As a result, I now had to schedule another appointment and take approximately two additional hours out of my day to have the calibration completed. Overall, the windshield replacement was done properly, but I was disappointed that the full service I had scheduled could not be completed at the original appointment.
