The workers always let me know what recommended maintenance needs to be addressed but never pushy about purchasing the services. Hope this new manager and the assistant as mentioned can continue to grow this shop to what it can be. My wife and son took his car to have the oil changed before getting an inspection. Drove the car for 47 miles before taking it to our mechanic for a repair and received a call from the mechanic about 5 minutes after dropping it off. The mechanic told us we needed to have the oil changed. We told him we just had it changed 47 miles before dropping it off. He sent pictures of the dipstick with dark brown oil, the sticker with the date of supposed oil changed, and a video. He also made us aware that there was between 1/2 quart and 1 quart too much oil in the motor. I understand that people make mistakes, and I’m very tolerant in that capacity. I’m not tolerant with a conversation over the phone with the manager telling me that he won’t change the oil that his shop put in my son’s car because he has video footage of his technician draining the oil, pumping new oil, and showing my 17 year old a dipstick. Why would I take a car back to the oil change place to replace oil I just paid to have replaced 47 miles ago. I don’t find pleasure in spending more time having my oil changed than necessary. Maybe I need to change my expectations of what I’m getting when taking a car to get the oil changed. Someone please explain to me how to make sense of this.
