  This was the easiest windshield replacement ever! Everyone was extremely nice, and the job was completed in about an hour. Be sure to call ahead for an appointment and to make sure they have your window on hand when you arrive.

  From receiving the quote through the final calibration verification, the entire process was efficient and professional. The price was very competitive, and Safelite kept us informed throughout, so we always knew what to expect. Our technician, Anthony, was exceptional—punctual, friendly, and professional. Safelite made the inconvenience of replacing a windshield much easier and more tolerable. Highly recommend!

  Safelite did a fine job of replacing my cracked windshield. When I arrived for my appointment they took care of me right away, saved my important windshield stickers, and were done in about an hour while I waited (no cameras to calibrate). The new windshield looks great. If they did such a good job with the windshield replacement, why only one star? Because I felt that their sales and marketing practices seemed predatory and unnecessarily intrusive. First concern was the online scheduling. They offer three levels of service: “Glass service only”, “Standard”, and “Premium”. I selected “Glass service only” because that's what I wanted- glass service only. The “Standard service” ONLY adds windshield wiper replacement... for $70!! To push the “Standard service” they highlight it as “MOST POPULAR” (in all caps) and under “Glass service only” they try to scare you by saying, “New wiper blades are not included with glass service only. Failure to replace worn wipers may damage your new windshield.” Oh, come on! If someone's wipers are THAT worn it will be obvious to the tech and you can bring it up with the customer. The wiper blades from Amazon that I replace regularly wipe the water off just fine thank-you-very-much. Next concern, I replaced my windshield through my insurance company who directed me to Safelite. I had to pay my $250 deductible, and then Safelite charged the insurance company a further $311. That's about what I expected a windshield replacement would cost, so that's why I filed with my insurance. But after they completed the repair I checked Safelite's website, and if I had NOT filed on my insurance, it said the total cost would have only been $275.20! If I had known that before the repair I would have just paid cash and not filed a claim. Yeah, that's on me for not checking ahead of time (and on the insurance company for not negotiating better), but it still seems predatory to me. Lastly, remember how I selected “Glass service only” because I wanted glass service only? While I was waiting for my windshield replacement the tech walks into the waiting room with my cabin air filter in-hand to show that it needed to be replaced. CABIN AIR FILTER!!? What does my cabin air filter have to do with my windshield replacement!? You have to open the glove box to get to my cabin air filter. Where does Safelite get off opening my private storage compartment without my knowledge or permission just to upsell a service that I didn't ask for and don't want? Open the hood to fill my windshield washer? OK, maybe. That might be considered related to windshield replacement. (And, no. they didn't do that.) Open my glove box, console compartment, under seat bin, trunk or any other personal storage space unrelated to windshield replacement without my express consent? NO!

  Edit: I called today and spoke to a manager. I sadly found out that the technician pocketed the cash I gave him. And now we'll most likely have to file a police report. I had my windshield repaired yesterday for what was just a small rock chip/crack. I paid almost $200 for the repair, and this morning, it literally looks almost exactly the same from inside my car as it did before it was fixed. 😩 Now I’m worried it’s going to crack all over again. We’ll be calling Safelite tomorrow to have someone else come out and take a look.
